Spiderpig
Nah - its the way football management is. Just a bit annoying that is all. What bit of it annoyed you, it seems a perfectly reasonable interview to me, I bet every manager in the country has a story like that, if only etc.
faddythedaddy
What did he say? Call us all paedophiles? Unforgivable act imo
johnstone
Faddythedaddy has nailed it. Whatever McGhee has said it will never be worse than utter shite I heard at pittodrie that day. I say let's be happy we have a sound manager who the players respect. Who gives a fuck if he thought he might manage Liverpool in a past life. mio
For some insane reason we have certain supporters keen for McGhee to fail, the same support who protested when he became manager due to them wanting untested managers...Valekari etc etc. (which would have likely seen us f*cked) Now he's doing well and has proved doubters wrong (to their dislike) some are so desperate to pull him up over the slightest "non issue" answers, to stupid reporters questions. Give the guy a f**kin break, he's turned the team around and we're getting better. I'm sure we'll have some sh1te weeks (not confident about today) but in general we're good and I doubt we'll have relegation worries this year. Let him spout about being Liverpool manager if he wants, it's a laugh!! if he continues the progression with us.....who cares!!

Agree, and for a bit of perspective, we got a new manager at the same point as Dundee United. Since then.... McGhee Played 11, Won 5, drawn 3, lost 3 Mixu Played 13, won 1, drawn 2, lost 10 Pretty clear we could have done much worse than McGhee! Gadgey
I knew when reading that article that there would be some queuing up to attack the bloke. So what's wrong with having ambition? I wouldn't want a man anywhere near being in charge of my football team if he weren't ambitious! The whole 'I could've been Liverpool manager' is just the predictable lazy journalism you'd expect on a slow news day. Imagine the editorial instruction, "no transfer rumours, no real sign of a managerial sacking and its January....fuckin' 'ell. Right lads, go out and ask some seemingly innocuous leading questions and see if you get a bite and try make a story out of it" On account of living hundreds of miles away, I don't get to many games so have no clue if people are indeed shouting paedophilic abuse at McGhee but if they are, then those muppets should be outed and fucked off out of it. Vile behaviour which drags the good name of our club into the sewer!!!
Lobey_Dosser
No like Mark to get carried away. At least his self-promoted 900th game didn't result in his biggest ever pumping.

Spiderpig
Football manager makes a James Hunt of the team selection and tactics and the team gets totally pumped..not the first and he wont be the last. Lets hope he learns from it, now lets start worrying about Ross county onwards and upwards
milo
Some glaringly obvious question conspicuous by their absence from that post match interview. McGhee also appeared to take zero responsibility for the his decisions impacting on the players and hardly seemed that upset or even bothered. Poor show all round. Never get the questions we the fans would like tae ask after a game when the Interviewer is an employee of the club, never happen. I like McGhee and I'm glad he's back but I wasn't impressed by his attitude in the interview either Milo.
weeyin
Most managers don't say what they are really thinking in post-match interviews. What happens in the changing room stays in the changing room and all that. We'll see by the reaction in the next game if what he actually said to the players made a difference.
Neil
Spineless. Gutless. Tactically inept and now dragging us down into the mire whilst remaining arrogant and smug. People wanted rid of Baraclough for less. McGhee out.
Lobey_Dosser
Should never in a million years been considered for a return to Fir Park. From the outside the club appears to be poisoned, sadly it pre-dates the arrival of McGhee.
weeyin
Regardless of McGhee in or out, if the club is "poisoned" then it's been poisoned for the last 40+ years as historically we are involved on bottom half relegation struggles more often than any other kind of season. Look at McLean's league record to see what is typical for a manager many regarded as successful.

Look at McLean's league record to see what is typical for a manager many regarded as successful. Poisonous is admittedly the wrong word but there is a sense of something untoward in recent years. Reckless spending, numerous off-field appointments that have failed, poor preparation of squad for Starjnan season, the questionable transfer of ownership, the farce that is the Well Society and failure of the team to turn up for cup games time after time after time. milo
Something's definitely rotten and a lot of it started when certain "senior players" arrived in the team.
