It would be if he wrote for the Sun.

Don't just take my word for it:-

Currently I work on a part time basis for Motherwell Football Club in the role of Official Match Reporter.

Despite my specialist field being within sport, I have a wide range of experience in everything from music features to outside radio broadcasts.

Previous publications:

  • The Herald
  • The Evening Times
  • The Sun
  • Sunday Mail
  • The Daily Express
  • Motherwellfc.co.uk
  • L107
  • Virgin Media
  • Lickmag.com

I think Neil's getting at the fact he writes the stories for somebody else, and national newspapers (like the Sun for example) come in and stick em in their papers. Even the bit you've quoted says 'previous publications', which implies to me that, although the Sun has published something Scott has written, he doesn't actually work for them.

they obviously didn't read the disclaimer at the bottom of the site

I was just going by this!

Sorry guys but showing the photos of the alleged assailants and naming their user id's has seen this thread tidied up. All photos and any posts relating to these have been removed.

These actions can bring legal action against the site.

We have already had one complainant stating he'll take it to the police.

Don't go naming them or showing their photos on here please.

Heard someone say the story was in THe Sun yesterday but now the first time I have read. Seems like a lot of fuss about nothing. Everyone knows that every football club has a small percentage of arseholes in their support and its unfortunate that a couple of hours decided to prove it at the wrong moment. I think the article that appears in THe Sun shows the club to have reacted well by banning them and sending people to see the fan involved. A small indiscretion against the fans but not worth getting wrked up into a frenzy about.

I've no issues with the story making the stories, it is one of those nasty incidents that will always surface in the papers.

But talking of revenge attacks on the pair on scumbags is just nonsense. Many are quick to jump on the polices backs, as they were released without charge. If the guy is not willing to press charges there is nothing that can be done.

Yes, I can see that it would've been a stressful incident, but if you want true justice in society, then you must press charges against the culprits. Too many people let these incidents slide.

Unfortunately the 2 scumbags escape punishment. And I'm sorry, this may be harsh, but if your excuse for not pressing charges is that you want to forget the incident, you don't talk and pose for the press. Just doesn't add up to me.

I wish the Old Guy well and hope he isn't put off attending the matches. Just really annoying to see an incident of this sort go relatively unpunished.

They said that the person who was married at Fir Park was involved in an incident on the way home, I don't think it was said that they were one of the people who attacked the old man.

It's been commented on on the thread where the incident was spoken about.
