  1. Past hour
  2. Will be difficult against £25 million rated iheanacho and the Tunisian boy but hopefully we can go with confidence. Welsh unavailable is a massive blow. Maybe put SOD centre half and Johnny K right-back?
  3. Positives The win of course, cannae beat injury time winners. Stama scoring and the way the lads celebrated with him. Hopefully that helps his confidence, I am still backing him. The twins Fadinger and Watt in centre midfield, great combination and we aren't missing Miller as much as I feared. Negatives Welsh unavailable next week, what a signing he has been £3.90 for a pie!! Shocking God love her but the wee lassie in east stand who screamed the whole of the 2nd half ( my heid was burstin 🤣🤣)
  4. Today
  5. Gordon was really solid, won everything in the air and looked far more assured with the ball at his feet. Great block at the end to keep us level. Welsh fits this system perfectly. Very good with the ball at his feet and really allows us to play out. SOD has been excellent all season and very good again yesterday. Distribution was a bit off in places first half, but was excellent second half and deserved his standing ovation. Love Said and the chaos he causes the opposition. Once he figures out the final third part he will be immense. MOTM though for me was Elliot Watt. So composed, just bossed the game. His partnership and understanding with Fadinger is excellent. It really is a joy to watch a midfield that can play football. Cant wait for Slattery and Just to be back so we can hand out a few hidings!
  6. This will obviously be our biggest test to date. Be very ineresting to see how our system holds up against that level of opposition. Curious to see how Rodgers approaches the game. Celtic generally like to press high and play the way we do, so the match up could be interesting. Every chance we might lose, but I expect us to go and play our game and give a good account tof ourselves. Good chance for JBA to test Celtics weakanesses in the advance of a potential Cup Final! 😉😉😉
  7. 32 minute silence 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 We shall see how that goes , a lot of them aren't capable of doing a 1 minute silence
  8. I understand your point, but I think that doesnt give us enough credit for what we have been doing. We destroyed Hearts for 65 minutes and they are sitting top of the league. Aberdeen clearly learned from watching that and didnt press us as high over the 2 games making it much harder for us to play around them. But you just have to watch what they are able to do on the transition to see they have some quality players. I dont understand why they dont start Clarkson right enough. He is a clever player rand always causes us problems.
  9. You are probably right but they are bang average. They don't look like a top 6 team either, however they have financial resources and that will always helps . Mind you the £20 million they have spent so far isnt showing much return.
  10. Correct , hopefully it will turn for him, he works hard .. me ? Im not convinced by him. .
  11. 🤣🤣🤣 😢😢 🐑🐑
  12. Really enjoyed that last night! There's always something special about a game under the lights on a pissing wet night! Aberdeen arent anywhere near as bad a team as their league position suggests. They have some very good players, and have been very good at trying to disrupt what we do over the 2 games. A bit like ourselves in that they have been unlucky in front of goal and their decision making let them down a couple times in the final third which is preventing them getting the goals they need to improve their results. Lazetic was greedy with his chance at the end and really should have squared it. Had he done so, we could have been 1-0 down. That said, I thought we were generally very good first half and stayed patient. Much better attacking wise second half and probably deserved to get the 3 points in the end as we had some very good chances ourselves. Really pleased for Stama to get off the mark. Really shoulda scored with his one on one with Mitov and was unlucky with the header that flashed at him very quickly. You could see what it meant to him getting the goal and its clear his team mates have his back the way they all celebrated with him. Great 3 points and keeps the feelgood factor going ahead if a difficultl trip to Celtic Park next weekend.
  13. A great win last night and and entertaining one to boot. It was a closed call but we probably just edged it although Aberdeen will feel aggrieved that they didn't take a point, given the chances they missed. It could have been game over for us with in the first 10 minutes as they missed 3 decent chances. After an error strewn opening 15 minutes, we gradually grew into the game and were the better side. Aberdeen looked like we have in previous seasons. Decent performance with some talented players but lacked a bit of simple solidity. Although not dirty, they were somewhat cynical at times, taking advantage of a weak referee. We played some exciting stuff and created chances without really bothering Mitov too much and lacked an end product. Slattery and Just were clearly missed. Overall though a good all round team performance. I thought Welsh and Gordon were outstanding with the latter just edging my MOTM entry. I thought Said looked slightly out of place in central midfield. The team showed bonding and determination through our late surge and goal celebrations. We're work in progress but shaping up nicely, if we can just solve that striking problem. You can't beat a late win and I was pleased that Stamatelopoulos scored with a well taken penalty. I'm surprised the ref ignored it initially but credit due he used VAR. The crowd cheered the players off the pitch and rightly so. Does anyone know what the crowd was incidentally? Just one gripe. The shine was taken off my enjoyment last night as the kiosk ran out of steak and shell pies at half time and we had to make do with a chicken curry version much to the irritation of several punters. Just not the same!
  14. You make your own luck, we never settled for the draw and went for the win, and we got our rewards, even after we scored we were still attacking in the 97th min. But like you I still remain to be convinced about Stamatelopoulos hopefully last night will be the boost he needs, that said I'd hope we are looking at targets to bring in another striker in January just in case.
  15. I think it’s just the usual bangers that are doing it but that always triggers arguments / Trouble with them all Toxic / entitled support
  16. Celtic fan groups to hold silent protests in next three home games
  17. Watching back the highlights, Aberdeen fans will be gutted they didn't score. The two good chances from the first half aside, one of those 2 chances they had at the end of the 90 with Keskinen and Lazetic are converted more often than not. Could easily have been a 0-1 defeat! Imagine how different we'd be feeling if that were the case. Having said that, we missed a couple of our own great chances and we have earned that bit of luck over these 6 games. Make no mistake, that was a huuuge win last night. Could be the foundation for a solid season.
  18. 32 mins? What’s that about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. But but but …… they should be winning the champions league every single year…..
  20. 90 minutes of decent football without the cutting edge, then a few minutes of luck and chaos to win it at the end. Some game, though the lack of a competent centre forward is a real concern. Hopefully that penalty sparks him into finally proving he’s not shite.
  21. Who was the Aberdeen cheerleader next to Alan Hutton, I know the face but cant put a name to it?
  22. Absolutely nothing to fear. I’ve watched a few of their games this season and they have been rotten. Their new winger is decent but apart from that their main performers clearly do not want to be there. ,Maeda, Hatate etc looks in the huff. pair that with their toxic support and their tough midweek match and the ridiculous 32mins of silence thing they will be doing against us….. I honestly think we have a chance to turn them over.
  23. Will need to sharpen up a wee bit at the back. A more clinical team could have had a couple against us last night. But they are there for the taking, especially with their European games in the mix. A good test for the boys to see where they are to be honest.
