This fixture understandably has had to be rescheduled however the revised date of Tuesday 15th September with a 7.45pm kick-off makes me wonder if our football officials are trying to destroy our game. It will be a round trip of nearly 6 hours for Aberdeen fans who choose to come down for the match. To arrive in time for kick-off, they’d have to leave around 3-4pm and wouldn’t get home until well after midnight. Now I know it’s not easy to fit-in rearranged fixtures, but would it not have been better to have arranged this game for say a Friday night? This might just as easily have been an away game for us so I’d be interested to know what others think.

Spot on. Footballers in general have very well developed thigh and calf muscles but not all of them have a good upper body strength - the central core. I’m not suggesting that players get ripped and have six-packs but they do need to do some serious gym work to build-up their core and upper body strength.

Nobody will convince me Vogt is a player, out of all players mentioned above, Higdon, moult, Cowan etc etc ….. they’d all proved themselves prior to coming to us. I’d never boo any of our players though, absolutely never. I will however put my head in my hands and say nothing or mutter quietly to myself “for fks sake”!!! I would love it if he proved my initial take as wrong but I do see Willy moving on loan as soon as we get players back fit or another attacking player is added. and I think the players don’t rate him either…. For Vogt I really hope the fans don't start getting on his back as that doesn't solve anything. He wasn't in the squad last week, so I thought maybe he was injured. He had worked his way back into first team contention last season after yet another injury spell. I'd be worried he'd not be able to stay fit in the high press, high tempo game we want to play now. That's what finished him off at Celtic - losing his place through injury when they played a similar style, and never managing to reclaim it.

Even if we can pay a portion of his weekly earnings (a small portion) it should benefit him and also back in the Scotland shop window with the new manager. I’m sure he’s still only 25/26? as mentioned though, being injured so often has stalled his career. We don’t need another one in the treatment table.

I’m sure he’s on his last 12 months of contract - A cheeky loan spell to get him back in the shop window . the only risk is another player who likes to see the the physio

I think turnbull has always wanted to return to us at some point. I think wages would be main issue. I am actually surprised that hearts or hibs haven't made an approach

I see Turnbull on the bench again today, didn’t come on as a sub last week either. Cardiff have bought a new midfielder for millions who plays in the same position. And he’s only had a few mins throughout pre season games. obviously we can’t buy him or afford his wages but surely a loan wouldn’t be out the question? Could be that midfielder to get us goals and create a bit in the final third.
