  1. Past hour
  2. Is the opportunity to get a large pay hike to live in the South of France really that appealing?* *yes
  3. I'd need to care for it to be harsh 🤔😂
  4. Yeah I think we all had a wee glimmer of hope he would stay but really we expected Jens to go. However pretty sure the board already had plans for this should this situation crop up i have nothing but faith in the club to get it right again.
  5. Today
  6. Bit harsh, he was only sharing the story 🤪🤪
  7. DOH!! I meant Whyte, sorry...Will amend
  8. If MFC are in discussions with Toulouse can it be assumed the Club ie MFC have spoken to Jens to get his view on a potential move.
  9. I did see stuff about Toulouse being interested in Jens but no mention that they had approached us. As mentioned though, we pretty much knew it would come. Might as well get it sorted out early as possible. Move to Toulouse or commit to Motherwell. However, perhaps he wants better offer than Toulouse and decide to stay here one more season. I know, ever the optimist! I hope the board might go above and beyond normal to keep Jens here 1 more season to give it our best shot in Europe. We only have 9 weeks till our first leg tie. Either way, as long as he doesn’t go to another Scottish club I can handle it.
  10. The tweet might be new, but I thought the news about the approach was a few days old.
  11. I think …. Hope… we do have a plan. When we’ve seen how sought after and praised Jens has been for the past 8 months really…. Surely they’ve thought we need to sort out a contingency plan. I’d hope that Jens may have played a part in this too and identify managers/coaches of a similar mindset to him. who knows
  12. So, the clubs are currently in discussions. That means they're probably thrashing out compensation. We'll see what comes of that. If JBA is going to leave, then I'd prefer that he did so now. That gives us time to source a replacement in time for the new season starting. No doubt, the directors have a plan in place for this very eventuality.
  13. That's my impression as well. We all know the behaviour of some Rangers fans has been unsavoury and menacing in the past, like the infamous riot at FP in 1978 because they were 2-0 down and looking at a hiding, and many other violent incidents over the years, including in Manchester after the UEFA Final in 2008. That said, the behaviour of a section of Celtic fans seems to have deteriorated the more they have dominated the Scottish game in the last 15 years and the growth of the Green Brigade is a toxic phenomenon which shows an arrogant sense of entitlement and sense of impunity which we can see transfers to the club itself with its recent desperate attempts to justify/deny the indefensible after last Wednesday and Saturday. Unfortunately, we're stuck with them both because to admit them to the English Premiership would be suicidal for it, even if it were possible. Until there is a real will shown by the police, SG and Scottish football authorities to restore order, fairness and sporting integrity to our game, nothing will change. I wonder also how many of our "new" supporters will have been put off by these recent events, despite the best efforts of our manager, players and club generally?
  14. As much as I'll be gutted to see him go you an understand his ambitions and a decent European side fits that ambition however if he ended up with those East End tramps I'd wish him nothing but bad luck.
  15. If one was to read twitter comments, with no prior knowledge of the subject, you may actually think that Jens was potentially leaving Celtic to go to Toulouse.
  16. Just googled Toulouse there and their captain is a Dane. There’s also a few Norwegian players there too. this has added to my disappointment
  17. In talks with Zander McAllister, hopefully he’ll sign as I think there’s a player there, didn’t look out of place in his appearances this season.
  18. Looks like a wee but of weight to the Toulouse thing. If he does go…. And according to Halliday, he’s off. I’d 100% prefer he went to France than attach himself to either set if the Glasgow poison. you’d think the attraction of living and working in a stunning city in southern France would be a no brainer rather than stuck in a mauket, run down, every road dug up cesspit of a city like Glasgow. i don’t know his circumstances but id guess he speaks French as well…. He can do every fkn thing else.
  19. Other than billing them for the empty seats, Motherwell could restrict their numbers without reference to anyone. I would say raise the cost of away tickets to compensate but that would need a similar increase for home fans, per current rules. S is not a consideration What could Celtic do? Reduce our tickets for Celtic Park? But it is not like for like anyway. And if they boycott Fir Park, Happy Days! Issue a statement stating that numbers have been reduced because of the actions of Celtic fans over a series of visits. Qualify it by saying MFC retain the right to restrict fans of any Club if similar incidents occur. Sends a message to all, although Hearts. Hibs, Aberdeen, Falkirk and even Rangers of late have not been an issue despite bringing thousands. Need to keep our own house in order re away games though or we end up looking like hypocrites..
  20. I feel dirty typing this, but seems that Rangers fans have actually been fairly well-behaved at Fir Park. The stairways mostly clear, no reported damage, no pitch invasions (since the play-off). I'd be in favour of giving Celtic the upper tier only and bill them for loss of revenue from the empty seats. We'll stop billing them and open the lower tier when their fans learn how to behave themselves.
  21. Money talks and they can offer way beyond what we can financially and facilities
  22. I'm hoping that he realises that he's onto a good thing here and could build something really special in 2-3 years. He's got a lot Toulouse if he gambles on moving to France.
  23. https://x.com/i/status/2057067547439116451 We knew in our heart of hearts it was coming.
  24. Given the trouble this season and last I would hope the Club Board are already considering this. No doubt the loss of income upwards of £65k per game is a factor. Hard to gauge how many of those home fans that avoid Old Firm games would be encouraged to turn up if away numbers were greatly reduced. Wouldn't be enough to offset the loss but then again money should not be the driver here. I wonder if anyone from the Society has expressed health and safety concerns re Celtic games to our Chief Executive? I don't think there is any rule dictating that a Club cannot pick and choose which visiting fans should be limited in number. Hearts and Hibs have limited away tickets for most teams in recent seasons but increased the allocation for matches between the two. So no reason why we could not restrict OF, or even just Celtic, but give others the full stand.
