  1. Past hour
  2. Watching the players go through a warm up routine of passing and shooting. Comically bad finishing it has to be said. Hopefully different in match conditions. Young goalie looks the part. Good he is involved on match days. Do him a world of good. Looks a strong team and subs on paper. Hopefully we turn up and show what we know they are capable of.
  3. The guy who fell in Freiburg was in the row behind me. Fortunately he was ok if a bit shellshocked. I agree there was limited room but it was marginally better than the POD in my view. Also the Stand in Freiburg was much steeper than the POD which may have been the reason for him falling. And the back of the seats did not buckle when leant on. Others can please confirm or not. And no way could we have been bouncing up and down in the POD like we were in Freiburg fueled by as much beer as we wanted without risking much worse than a guy falling over.
  4. We should ALL stay outside for one of the game then all bundle in 5th minute. That would cause an uproar. Shout at Brian Caldwell while we do it. Just a suggestion?
  5. They could accept the issue and attempt to find a solution to be put in place at season end. No one expects an immediate resolution. The POD has more than enough capacity to accommodate all ST holders with room to spare even if the seating has to be reconfigured. By Brian's own figures. Now if that configuration cannot be achieved for property reasons or if the cost is excessive at least provide those affected with a report that confirms that is the case. Let fans see exactly how any reconfiguration would affect them individually.....how far their seat would move as a starter. Consult. Effectively we are talking about removing 500 seats and spreading the remaining 2500 seats over the same area. Hard to believe that is not feasible in the time available between seasons. They could even use the same seats to minimise cost leaving only labour and planning expenses to consider, Unless it is the potential loss of the income from those 500 seats that is the real barrier?
  6. Thats a really strong looking squad now! Even if we dont get the 3 points tonight, the rest of the season looks really exciting! Strongest squad we have had in years!
  7. Although I don’t sit on them I’ve looked at them and they do seem poor but I wonder what the difference is between them and the ones in the Fieburg stadium is as there wasn’t much space for passing and I seen one guy trip and fall into the row in front.
  8. Strong team and strong bench. Dundee Utd games are goals aplenty this season and their form up and down. We'll see what happens. A win would be good heading to Ibrox, where there is a bit of discontent.
  9. Two weeks from now I'd have higher expectations. Tonight I'm concerned about fatigue (mental or physical creeping in). Although it's great to have enough depth for some proper load balancing.
  10. Hoping we don’t come crashing down but my expectations are running rampant when looking at our team and bench.
  11. Ayr United seem quite confident they are gerring him. My mate messaged me today, very excited about it. They have a lot of injuries apparently, so he is likely to go straight into the team.
  12. Im unaware how much we spent on these seats, and haven't had the misfortune to sit on them...but having read the comments from Brian it doesn't sound like the club will be making any material changes to them as they are essentially 'compliant'. I cant help but feel the answers given may have been different if there wasnt maybe something on the horizon in terms of a proper overhaul of the stand. Aye it sounds dismissive, but if for example we are looking at a rebuild of that stand in the near future, then realistically they are just going to take the flack from the residents of the main stand in the meantime rather than go and spend thousands of pounds when the even newer seats might end up in a skip soon?
  13. I think the problem is that there isnt really much the club can do about the situation, so there isnt a lot they can really say. Thats no excuse, however, for not being more forward facing and owning the problem. A little can go a long way.....
  14. Strong looking team with a very strong looking bench...Olly Whyte ommitted
  15. Today
  16. Yes, the couple next to me complained immediately about their seats and were told they could move somewhere else if they weren't happy, and he had a business advert/sponsorship with the club! The club is coming across as insensitive and dismissive over this issue.
  17. You might be right! We haven’t won a game at home in the league, so far this season. 😂
  18. If you believe that , there must be a Santa claus.
  19. I think that is fair comment. Well said. The fact the new seats don't tilt up as previously to allow folk to pass is the biggest issue. So in a practical sense there is less room. And leaning on the back for support as folk squeeze past causes the plastic to collapse. Written as one not so slim and and not so young. Speaking personally, it rankles that 1. The answer from above is " if fans don't like the way it is then they can move." Hardly a caring approach. Especially to those who have held Season Tickets for decades but also to any supporter irrespective of length of connection.. 2. Despite comments that Brian has tried to speak or contact all who contacted the Club, no phone call or E-mail has come in this direction. Kudos to the WS though, they did respond. 3. I must have have missed the apology for the lack of communication and the end result.
  20. Yes, according to a Sky Sports News journo, we knocked back an £800K bid last summer. https://x.com/anthonyrjoseph/status/1948361694570553735?s=46
  21. i just think because the general feeling among the fans is high and everyone thinks we've had a good transfer window that something will bite us on the arse. I've been watching us far too long that it fucks up rational thinking. 🤨
  22. Well Lyall Cameron is bound to score a header against us!
  23. Looks like poor attendance tonight from the ground map. Don't know why this game wasn't moved to the cup weekend. This game could go either way depending what defence turns up? With Ibrox being our next game a win will be very welcome. Don't know why, just got a strange feeling we might struggle tonight.
  24. Didn't we turn down a big fee for him from a Norwegian team last season?
  25. Fair enough, of the solutions put forward, on paper it seems the best. Emphasis on "on paper". A bit disappointing as the email has a vibe of "options limited, meets requirements, stop moaning". While i've no doubt a lot of the moans are just that, there is certainly valid concerns, which i hope isn't lost on the board. Personally i am fine, getting in and out is an inconvenience i can grudgingly live with. However i am farily slim build and still relatively young... however, week on week i see others struggling, to the point where everyone around them is on high alert, offering a hand, etc. Meets requirements or not, that is not on. I'd urge Brian Caldwell to trial 3 consecutive games in the busiest section of that stand and see how he feels then. Really not much to ask IMO.
  26. I know Folarin Balogun, as he was the guy who had the red card overturned at the World Cup. I don't know most of the others mentioned.
