  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe they are failing to agree whether Kettlewell is allowed entrance. 🤣🤣
  3. I was thinking the same. Are the clubs arguing about prices? Its also tight for staff and fans to organise hospitality.
  4. Today
  5. Does anyone know whats happening with this game? No tickets on sale yet and no confirmation of date and kick off time? Seems a bit odd 11 days out from the game.......
  6. Ingliston park and ride…. Edinburgh is a total disaster for parking, good luck. joking aside, if you do take the tram it’s only a fiver return and one of the stops is at Macdonald road which is a 10min walk from Easter road. from ingliston to there on the tram it is about 30mins right enough
  7. Been a while since I’ve been at Easter Road, where is best place to park the car? Cheers👍🏻
  8. When we played them at Fir Park we didn't let them near our box.
  9. Absolutely sir. Sure many folk would leave Motherwell for a job somewhere else that paid twice as much... going back to Ya Bezzer!'s post though, although people have kids and mortgages and a professional striving, I wouldn't put the figure as high as 95%. There are other important considerations and not everyone is driven solely by hard cash.
  10. No arguments there and I’m fully aware of where we are as club in the grand scheme of things. What annoys me though is these Motherwell fans who the minute we get any sort of good team or manager can’t just enjoy it for what it is while we’ve got it instead of hitting out with “he’ll be away shortly, our wee team can’t keep players like that” and so on. Now while that is undoubtedly true it is what it is, so why not focus on the good times while we’ve got them instead of spoiling the feel good factor for everyone else? As I said last Tuesday night after we had comfortably beaten Celtic Tam Cowan our most high profile fan goes straight on the radio and before he even mentions anything about the result, the game or the performance he starts off with “you’ve got to wonder if we can keep that manager for the season” or something to that effect. Talk about pouring cold water on a great night. JBA will leave us sooner or later. No one can seriously suggest otherwise but for Christ’s sake just let us enjoy it while we can.
  11. We need not to dangle legs in and around our box. Bowie and co are diving masters. Its about time we got a referee decision in our favour. Or VAR does its job.
  12. What will be will be. Lets just enjoy what we have currently, back our team and ignore outside noise. On another point. Dont think i have ever seen a season of so many big clubs in many leagues with spending power being so bad. Perhaps instant demand for results and ever changing management does not work. The stresses to win at all costs surely does not equate to a happy work place. Sure money is to be made but at what cost, health and happiness?
  13. I hear the board and JBA have turned down an offer from Manchester United
  14. Knowing that shower they will be dreaming of emulating SAF’s glories
  15. What's tiresome is fans actually thinking, over and over again, that we sign up a professional coach or footballer on a 2 or 3 year contract, and they instantly become diehard fans of Motherwell who will then turn down massive increases in wages, more resources and more media exposure at another, bigger club. And if they don't they are some kind of traitor. It's not me that boos guys that did a great job for this club when they come back in a different jersey. These are professionals. It's not a fun little hobby on the side. It's their career and anyone good at something wants to go as far as they can. I'm super positive about this season, I think we can split the Old Firm and maybe even challenge for the league if we can get the big results we need against the Top 5. However it's not a 'small club mentality' to actually realise Motherwell are well down the pecking order of international football and at the end of the day, money makes the world go round. It's just a realistic assessment. 95% of the people on this forums would leave Motherwell for a job somewhere else that paid twice as much and we actually are fans. That's just reality. People have kids and mortgages and a professional striving. I'd like to think Askou will stay here this season because he started something and he wants to see where it goes. Also you'd maybe want to wait and see what other offers come in rather than take the first one. But the chances of us keeping him here even medium term are virtually zero. Like I've said I'd be highly doubtful if he's here next season. It's also entirely possible we could keep this team and coaching staff together and then we are completely shite next season. Cos that's football.
  16. Aberdeen I think will appoint Stephen Robinson. He has achieved all he can at St Mirren, can leave on a high and go to the Dons, stabilise them and make them a hard to beat side. That’s what they need right now.
  17. Maybe they won't bother after those 2 experiences.
  18. He was only there out of courtesy. Don't forget Mark McGhee, though.
  19. Surely be a lot more than , 3k at say ÂŁ25 a pop. That's a kind of crude guesstimate but I reckon more than 10k for sure.
  20. It’s utterly tiresome at times. We’ve got a core of supporters who seem naturally programmed to the “we’re only a wee team this won’t last” mindset above all else and they can’t let themselves and everyone else just enjoy us having a good side while we can. That idiot Cowan being the main culprit of this as I said after the Celtic game. Of course it is and yes indeed, sooner or later any high performing players or managers we have will be poached by bigger clubs. You know what? It might even happen with JBA and Aberdeen, just like as what happened with Craig Brown. But that is all hypothetical just now so until such time as it becomes reality then there really is no point losing sleep over it.
  21. Is that not just part of being a Motherwell fan we don't have nice things very long before someone else comes and takes them.
  22. Yesterday
  23. And I'm discussing the fact that lots of people on here and over at P&B have our manager and half the team out the door already.
  24. last time I looked its a discussion forum to discuss football topics and Aberdeen punting their manager is a topic that would generate discussion , particularly when the media are already mentioning our manager. For the life of me I cannot see any posts on this discussion reflecting a desire for our players or manager to leave .
  25. Lose to Hibs, get papped out the cup by Ross County and everyone will lose interest.
  26. Sometimes it feels like our fans are more keen for our managers and players to leave us than even the OF slanted media.
