Just seen back on Sportscene and agreed. Also funny seeing the guy trying to hide his arm after it.🤣
-
It was a stick on penalty. Not sure why the St Mirren player done that but definitely on purpose.
-
Went with Said again, think he's adding a bit of consistency on top of the talent he has. Fadinger also had a good game, SPH put a shift in and I think that was the best I have seen JGR.

Scarecrow started following Motherwell v St Mirren 31/10/2026

Today was our best performance since the first half an hour in Paisley in August. Game should have been put to bed by 3.15pm. Credit to all for keeping going and getting the result Had VAR not intervened and today had ended up a draw, or even worse, then the manager would have been copping some amount of flak on here tonight. But he can't be blamed for strikers who can't hit a horses erse with a banjo. Let's just take it and move forward

I was surprised how little St Mirren offered today. Early in the season it looked like they were trying to play some nice football but apparently they’ve given up on that. We looked a lot more relaxed and composed on the ball today and had several good moves but our finishing was woeful. Nice to get a clean sheet and 3 points. I think we can play as well as most teams in the league and should pick up a decent amount of points…..if……. We cut out the silly mistakes. Interestingly we didn’t make any silly mistakes today and came away with a clean sheet and 3 points.
-
Relieved to get the 3 points, maybe a break with the penalty? Haven't seen it back but fully deserved all the same. Thought we played well an there were signs of improvement again besides finishing. Great to see Priestman back, pretty much improved us immediately.

That’s football for you - all about opinions.😉

Football is all about opinions.

Delighted with those 3 points , should really be 6 this week. Well deserved and could have been a few more Nice to hear Stand up and Sing for Motherwell again , met Stevie Kirk as well in the club shop so happy days today
-
Thought Girdwood-Reich was excellent at the back and was harshly given a bit of stick for passing it back nearer the end of the game. Thought Manny was unplayable in the 1st half but dropped off in the 2nd half. My motm though was Fadinger who was excellent all game and controlled the midfield

We were all over them for most of the game, a poor 15 min spell in the 1st half but in all reallity we should have been 2 maybe 3 goals up at half time, we played great football and dominated them. St Midden offered feck all for the whole game , kick and chase hoofball, falling down at every opportunity, and constantly fouling and breaking up the play. We were the only team trying to win the game today and we got a well deserved 3 points, so all in all there was a lot to warm the cockles, a great performance, 3 points, and some key players back from injury.

Aye, when I read the "turgid" comments I thought I must have been watching a different game.
-
Really? I thought that is as well as we've played all season (finishing apart). Still room for improvement but I enjoyed the way we played today.
-
Typically I’m away & we win ( before the usual where’s all the sack aj posters tonight kicks in ) fair play to him, he’s pulled a big result out the bag & sounds like it was well deserved hopefully we can kick on from this
-
Thats as close to last years style than we've played all season, but still a long way to go. Girdwood-Reich had a decent enough game defensively but my god he takes any pace out the game.He slows it all down when we need to keep up the pace when pressing. Hodge has started to show a bit of drive and had a good game today. Maswanhise was piss poor, again.. We won the game in the second balls, we mopped up just about every one of then. The will to win it today was there for all to see. Good return for Priestman. Should have been far more comfortable but signs in last two games we might just be moving in the right direction.
-
I said after the Hearts game he had to get at least 4 points from the next two and fair play to him he has. He got criticism on Wednesday for his substitutions but today he got them right and Charles-Cook who isn't exactly a favourite of mine deserves credit too because he won the penalty through putting the defender under pressure and he also had one particular run back the way in which he tracked his man and stopped what would have been a great chance for St.Mirren People will say it's only papering over the cracks and I probably would have been the same but as I said on Wednesday night the players are clearly all still behind him Well done to them all today and hope they enjoy the 3pts.
-
Better team by miles especially in the first half. But it looks like they don't communicate with each other on the pitch. Bit strange that.
-
Easily the better team, deserved to win it. A good break to get the VAR call but we were due something. Time to kick on now. Priestman was everywhere & hopefully mcginn can stiffen us up Mon the fuckin well!!!
-
That was down to the ref being a dick - guy totally hates us.
-
Special mention to Poulsen at St Mirrens last minute corner. Great clearance under pressure! Well done.
-
Barry Ferguson would’ve lost that game.
-
Good to see Priestman and McGinn back
-
Thank god for that, well deserved. Hopefully we’ll see a different side now. I seen enough over the past 2 games to think we can do ok, just need to build a bit of confidence
