  1. Past hour
  2. And McInnes now cited for his comments regarding the penalty. Clear pattern emerging here. Dissention in the ranks cannot be tolerated.
  3. And the Celtic players and fans got a gentle tap on the knuckles. They've got their priorities the wrong way around.
  4. They really don't know when to leave things well enough alone.
  5. Well that’s not so bad, I’m glad that happened. As I said I’m sure he has spoken well of us in the past but I’d never heard him do it.
  6. A few years ago my brother was given a hospitality table at Parkhead for a Motherwell game and Boyd was one of the ex Celtic players doing the rounds of the table when he got to the one full of Well fans he sat down chatted and had a laugh talking about his time at Motherwell. He spent so long that one of the other guys had to come over and ask him to go talk with other tables. I get that he’s reported to have said things and I don’t agree with that but I’ve got to give him his due on that occasion.
  7. Today
  8. The Herald reporting that we are facing sanctions for social media posts about the Celtic penalty award in this match, as is Elliot Watt.
  9. In fairness, im certain you said you had a bad feeling about the JBA appointment 😜
  10. Can we give the guy a round of fixtures to judge him om. Lets see how we get on against the 9 we are allowed to win against and see how he plays against rangers and Refereeing association FC
  11. Very few have captained us to Cup success so on that basis Boyd would have to make my list. Grudgingly. Fan favourite is not a top criteria for me (although it is a factor) and ranks well below being part of a major League or Cup winning squad. Subject to appearing in a decent number of games. For me 'Greatest' equates to performance, achievement and contribution. Tough choices and given I would include all/most of our trophy winning squads plus many of the Ancell players I guess I would have to exclude a good number of players who have entertained me over the years. Whilst including dozens that I did not have the good fortune to see in the flesh. It really is an impossible task. For instance, with one spot left would it be an entertainer like Tommy Coyne who I loved watching or Stephen Craigen who holds the record for most capped player. Or Stephen O'Donnell as the player most capped by Scotland whilst with us and who made us all proud with his performance at the Euros. Good discussions though. Thought provoking.
  12. Aye he has put himself front and center in the transfer window thats for sure my only thing i hope he doesn't have a minimum fee clause as with any big tournament when players put on a show teams are willing to throw ridiculous money at them. Could be serious club changing money.
  13. Most people feel the same but the mans an obnoxious prick as soon as he joined Celtic his previous career did not exist, as a member of the 91 team he should be a club legend, but going full darkside and turning into a fud in doing so means he should be nowhere near the list.
  14. I’m sure he must have done at some point but personally I have never heard him say one positive thing about Motherwell. considering I watched a couple of seasons pre-cooper of him aimlessly running around midfield, I think I deserve an apology at least.
  15. Sometimes you need to separate the art from the artist. I watched Tom Boyd lift the Scottish Cup, and everyone involved in that campaign should be a candidate. I give zero stuffs what he did after that.
  16. I thought long and hard about him and he'll be in my best 100, due solely to his on the field performances. .
  17. He must have moved up, I'm sure he was at 1034.
  18. He just missed out! He is down at number 666
  19. Hard as it may be, we need to forget about JBA. He`s gone. A new chapter has begun.
  20. I've arbitrarily identified about 105 candidates so far but it'll take quite some time to sort out an order. Criteria, for me, are appearances, goals scored and international appearances. Its obviously difficult to rate players from bygone eras that I've never seen, and avoid recency bias.
  21. Funny thing about Fergie , he did come across as a bit nervy , jittery , flakey....take your pic but can't deny what he achieved, especially at Aberdeen. One of the first things he did was intimidate officials...suppose you can understand that. Wouldn't get away with that now but nothings changed, still dont get benefit of doubt against Glasgow teams. Actually now we have VAR, which has managed to make things worse. Maybe another discussion but I'm on a roll...officiating at WC has been largely OK, I think. Letting a lot go ...maybe to Scotlands detriment. They weren't stonewallers but another day, we get one of them .
  22. Eli was brilliant in that first half, an absolute stand out I thought. 2nd half Egypt were much better and deserved the win but he’s really showing himself up as a class act. I’ve resigned myself to him being picked up but we are talking millions and it wouldn’t surprise me to break Lennon Millers fee.
  23. From the WhatsApps this morning: Match details confirmed ✅ We will face Havnar Bóltfelag at Fir Park for the first leg of our UEFA Conference League tie before travelling to Tórsvøllur for the second leg. All ticket information will be confirmed and published in due course. https://bit.ly/4uVEON7
  24. Yeah, think age is less important now as the game has evolved. I a similar way that a Manager giving the hairdryer treatment these days probably wouldn't wash and would be less of a motivator than in the past.
  25. They have a set procedure per the order of names drawn out the hat but that can be affected by other European games set to be played in the same locality so that’s probably the delay in confirming the dates for Motherwell game. I have no clue how they sort that out if it is an issue.
