That’s true but we need the bodies. We need the skill. We have some money and if these players are similar to Just and we sell them again for 6 million happy days. Agree that there are other ways to skin a cat as the saying goes but if we are playing the same way as JBA then a Just-like figure is of benefit even as depth in the squad if Lowry is the replacement. It’s also good as a talking point while we hopefully get the next few players in the door. 😜

A common mistake, at least amongst journalists and fans, is to think individuals need replaced. While it's true to some extent, that's not really how it works. Classic case is Lennon Miller. After we sold him, we reshaped our midfield, brought in guys like Fadinger, Watt and Just and changed the way we played. In the end, we had a stronger midfield that the one Miller played in, without ever replacing Miller directly.

I’m done in that front for various reasons. I have a different view on what fan ownership looks like, how it should be implemented. Most importantly my stance on transparency and accountability doesn’t align any more.

The prices are quite grim. Finnair were doing direct flights from Edinburgh for about £350 return a week ago. But they have gone thru the roof. Everything else is a bit of a trek.

You're very welcome: those lyrics and his "performance" always make me laugh. We could do with yon lanky man on the right with the stetson up front this season. When you see the negative comments on this thread about Dykes it astounds me that he (and Ché Adams) kept getting selected by Clarke, who didn't seem to rate Shankland (or anybody else) at all.
