  2. So far for me in the emails and statements from the club on this issue the standout thread is finance., Did not want to reduce seats in the POD, maximising seat availability for the Euro games, etc. This is what you would expect if the existing seats were compliant etc but not when the alleged solution swapped out better seats for cheap, shoddy not fit for purpose ones, thats putting profit ahead of fan comfort and safety. The reduction in the pod prices back in May/June now makes sense, to nullify the more money for poorer seats argument, however that objective failed with the choice of seats we got. We all know the constraints of the pod, the UEFA compliance etc, etc but the choice of new seats was poor, was any proper testing done, i think not. So moving forward im sure that all that people want is for the club to man up and admit they got it wrong, set out a plan / timescale to resolve the issue and then get it done. But burying their heads and hoping there are no accidents resulting in negligence claims against the club is not the way to proceed. As for the WS, im not a member but their silence on the issue speaks volumes of how they see their role in interacting with the club, ie attend the meetings but stay quiet, and dont rock the boat, they should be ashamed. The POD ST renewal figures next May / June should be interesting.
  3. I don’t mind the 12 team set up and I specifically like the intensity of the split but an 18, 12 , 12 set up might work. Straight promotion and relegation or perhaps a play off final between the third bottom and third top of each league. The issue with this is that if the lower leagues played 38 games the 34 game top league would be finished a month earlier. Perhaps the lower leagues could play 3 times only for a 33 game season.
  4. 100% great options to have. I wouldn't mind RCC coming in to the starting 11 for SPH either as we will have counter attacking opportunities with his pace.
  5. Yup just listened to it (shhhhhh don't tell my boss). Alfred's interviews are great and it was very interesting what he said about Booth, feels he will benefit more staying with us and learning. Whyte a different scenario are where I have no doubt he will be disappointed, I feel a season in the competitive championship will really benefit him, plus he's only 19
  6. Good interview today with Alfred, interesting stuff about young player development
  7. I’d assume Kanga would drop out for Said to start but either way, you have a decent player on the pitch and a strong player coming off the bench. Nice for AJ to have selection problems like this.
  8. Today
  9. Said almost definitely has to come back into the starting line up for this so who drops out? I would say Fadinger and Hodge are pretty much locked in central midfield and Lowry has been our best player the last 2 games. Does Maswanhise drop out or do you play him upfront with SPH and drop out Kanga?
  10. I think they were waiting to see if we got into group stages in Europe. Statement straight after going out on last European game. I bet they had two versions tailored to suit how far we went in Europe.
  11. He played in a few league cup games the first season he joined them, but nothing since. He'll be getting paid handsomely to work with the other keepers, and is obviously happy with what he's doing there.
  12. Not sure but I will see if i can think of one..........nah yer all right Grizzly.......said everyone 🤣🤣
  13. I think he can play in goals do that gives us extra cover 🤣🤣
  14. Has he played a first team game since leaving us?
  15. Mark Gillespie is still on the books at Newcastle. Third choice, signed a 1 year deal in the Summer. He'd certainly do as emergency cover (imo) if it came to it.
  16. Could always register Neil Alexander in an emergency. Bit off topic but is Davie Henderson still at the club? Haven't seen him about? At least I don't think he's been one of our physios on the pitch.
  17. What’s the Alfred song that’s been getting sung? I can’t place it at all and tbh I’d have hoped to have a better one
  18. We wouldn’t need to but if we didn’t then we would be getting the usual “siding with Rangers, discriminating against Celtic” pish because Celtic would pull that card and their media mouthpieces would do their bidding…and unfortunately some of our own fans would also subscribe to that nonsense. We should of course do it anyway and stick two fingers up right in Celtic’s faces but would we as a club have the backbone to do it and stand our ground to the Celtic driven backlash against us?
  19. Ye it is a bit complicated. However we wouldn't need to cut rangers allocation because of actions of sellik fans. But at same time if they caused damage then same rules apply....same for hearts....Aberdeen..etc etc
  20. I like to look at stats after our games and we had 701 complete passes out of 754 thats a staggering 93% completion. Thats bloody impressive.
  21. So Ap Stam was better than him at that too.
  22. I believe most fans would welcome a return to an 18 team league. At least then the visit of the bigger teams to Fir Park becomes more of an occasion and less routine. Similarly for our fans visiting away grounds. Less “Oh, them or there again”. Variety in other words and less repetition. . Sadly that’s not how most Boards, including ours, see it. Cash is king. The dream is top six which guarantees 4 home matches a season against Celtic and Rangers and also more than likely against at least 2 of Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen. Financially much more lucrative than replacing that second home fixture against the big four or five with Livi, St J, Raith, Ross C, Arbroath. Thistle and Dunfermline marginally less so. I agree the 12 team set up does make it more of a challenge for anyone other than Celtic and Rangers to win the Title. But that is not the main driver for the set up we have and which is unlikely to change.
  23. Aye i noticed that as well, which concerns me if hes not actually been released. Maybe its part of the deal or probably more likely that the club and the players agents etc are still w orking out the details.
  24. I’d love us to cut their allocation but the problem that would cause would be more of them would buy home end tickets which puts our fans in potential danger. And no doubt we would also cut Rangers allocation just to be ‘balanced’ and not to give the wrong impression even though Rangers fans have done nothing to merit their allocation being cut. If we did cut Celtic’s allocation it should apply to Celtic and Celtic alone and we should be stating it in crystal clear terms as to why.
  25. I think the rules allow for emergency loans at any time if a team runs short of goalies due to injury. Not ideal but at least it does not tie us to the transfer window. So no doubt we have someone in mind should that need arise.
