Almost right, except it's run for the benefit of the Old Firm, not just Celtic.
-
Utter disgrace

Regardless of whether Watt leaves or not we as a club should be appealing this or at least stating an intention to appeal it. While Watt is still our player we should be standing up for him otherwise it will keep happening with other players or employees who speak out and upset the apple cart around Celtic and the way they’ve got everyone dancing to their tune. Start by citing that the then Celtic manager got a lesser ban for comments about the same official in March 2024 and that that ban was subsequently reduced on appeal.
-
Utterly ridiculous. Presumably we'll now see almost every club, player and manager punished for what they say and do after matches. Unless, of course, they happen to be at Celtic.
-
He will be but that’s not the point here. The bigger picture is that Scottish football is run for the benefit of Celtic and Celtic alone and anyone who speaks up about it will be censored. Its absolutely scandalous the hold that club have over everyone in the game up here.

Its a feckin embarassment for Scottish football, it would never happen with any of the ugly sisters players, the SFA are a disgrace, but the other clubs wont care so nothing will change.
-
Its a wild ban, actually outrageous if you think about, luckily he will probably be serving it as someone elses player

https://x.com/ScotlandSky/status/2077759093641769449 Should only be a domestic ban, so I'd imagine he can play in europe. Joke of a decision.

Motherwell star Elliot Watt given huge BAN as SFA punish Fir Park club over Celtic penalty controversy
-
Just seen 4 game ban for Watt. Is that true? Can he play in euro games or not?
-
Yes, happy days, before we discovered women, booze and scrabble. Glad you liked the foatie. Though I say it myself, my titfer is quite magnificent 🎩 but the years (and MFC) have taken their toll on mind and body.......
-
Is the Friday night game going to be on Motherwell TV or just the pay per view option?
-
Not sure what any possible buyers might offer the player in wages. Do they adopt the approach of low ball transfer fee knowing that the salary offer to the player/agent will be enough for them to become unsettled and then he doesn’t want to play for us so we take the low ball offer?
-
That was some bus the EK supporters bus. Your new profile photo is so you. COYW

Maybe the source likes succulent lamb and his benefactor has a vested interest in keeping the price down! 😍😍😍

JWFC, totally agree mate. weeyin, normally I’d agree with you also but even by their lazy/low journalism standards, for them to pick the low figure - one that I’ve not seen mentioned - for a player who is widely regarded to have been one of the best midfielders in the league last season is strange.

Somebody makes up a number when posting on twitter. 5 people retweet. Someone on a fans' fourm reads the tweet and repeats it in post. Journo copy and pastes number from the post in transfer rumours article. Somebody quotes the journo in a tweet. 10 people retweet. Another fan posts details on the tweet in a different forum. Different journo posts number from "multiple sources" And that, is how internet "facts' are created.

Scottish newspapers generally have no clue what we are up to these days. Its quite refreshing, even if it is a little frustrating waiting on any real news about our ins & outs......
-
Guy at work says the scum is reporting that we’ve knock back a bid of £1m for Watt. We’ve been hearing that we’ve knocked back bids of £1.7m for him so where do they get their low figure? Can we now expect them and other Scottish media outlets and pundits to be saying that one of the arse cheeks has offered £1.5m and we should take it?
-
And, like Elliot Watt, he's part Scottish so a similarly impressive season could see him under consideration for Scotland (if he's willing to switch).

1. Elijah Just - New Zealand Despite going out in the group stages of the tournament, the Motherwell playmaker was the highest ranked Scottish Premiership star at the tournament, with an average rating of 7.73. He equalled Henrik Larsson's World Cup goal tally for a Scottish club player by scoring three goals in three games at the World Cup. (must be worth a few more Euros now it's official)

A phrase i don't hear a lot Thank you so much 😁

Because thats what agents are paid for to have "if" for all sorts of scenarios in contracts. Agents arent daft.

Do we really think when we signed these players both them and the club seriously thought there would be possible multi million pound bids for them. I would think probably the oppisite, that's why CLUB has an option for another year on their contracts. All these players came from relative obscurity and smaller teams why would they even think of a triggering bid to leave when signing up .
