  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t ever remember being as engaged with a Motherwell manager when he does his press conferences. Even our previous managers who had a wee bit of a personality (I think we’ve had a couple ) I wouldn’t have dreamt of sitting listening to their 10min presser. lovely to hear his resoluteness about how we don’t need to sell and his building of a better team and adding players. The guy is impeccable.
  3. Not 100% sure, but I thought if it was a straight red it applied to the next game.
  4. In fairness he then did go on to give an update of sorts. Along the lines of..... 'they are on track with the schedule we set and are a week closer to return'. I guess he was just making a point about being asked the same question about the same players week after week?
  5. Not for me, he was bang on, these fuds ask the same pathetic questions every week and one thing is I don't think he suffers fools gladly and quite right the Scottish media are full of shit stirring zoomers
  6. He did it with humour and they all laughed. Im totally cool with it.....
  7. The sarcastic response to the questions about Watt and Hendry made me wince a bit. I know it's a stupid question given he answered the same question last week but journalists need to do their job. Too much of it and there will be journalists who will be itching to put thr boot in should we hit a slump...
  8. Thought it was interesting when he said “in talks with his representatives “
  9. Hopefully Mayo plays are our strikers can give him pure Hell Mann. Ba boom 🤪🤪
  10. Today
  11. This team but Sparrow for Johnny & Gordon for Sods
  12. I absolutely love Big Jens. That presser is fantastic. We need to do everything we can to encourage him to stay as long as possible.
  13. I thought it was very clever of Askou. Not only did his comments reassure us fans, they also sent a clear message to the Club Board. Promises made should be promises kept and the time to consider a sale is at season end.
  14. They are basically reporting what JBA said in his press conference - we would have liked a decision sooner - we have plans in progress to recruit a replacement - we are still in talks with Celtic, Welsh and his representatives
  15. Must confess I don't normally watch any of the pre match press conferences but for some reason watched today's. The manager seemed very definite on the fact that no one was being sold this window...
  16. It was a very clear message which will no doubt have zero impact on the OF stories that will continue to be rolled out multiple times a day until the window closes. Also a big thanks to Lennon Miller for providing us with a healthy GTF fund.
  17. Seems like neither he nor our best players are going anywhere this season. 🙏.
  18. Interesting...Wonder if its how to make it permanent or what % of his wages do we pay for a loan
  19. According to STV news at 6, we are in continuing dialogue with Celtic about Stephen Welsh.
  20. The club has as much to offer JBA as he has to offer the club. I’d like to think he sees it that way too.
  21. I doubt they're too bothered about whether he comes back here on loan or not, given they've obviously still been paying a significant part of his wage. He was likely taken back to make a point, and playing him - as weeyin said - enforced that point. If they had a decent offer for him, from us or elsewhere, he wouldn't have got near the pitch.
  22. He isn't eligible as wasn't named in initial 25 man squad before league stage
  23. I hope Stephen and his agent are harassing Celtic to get him back here on loan. Benefits Welsh, (keeps him match fit and in the shop window) benefits Celtic (as in saving some wages + increasing his value) and benefits Motherwell. (Quality player in the squad for remainder of the season)
  24. Journo: How are Callum Hendry and Elliot Watt doing in their fitness battles? JBA: Well I think I described thoroughly last week where they were, and if you rewind a week and then go forward, then they are one week later.
