  1. Past hour
  2. Great win, good performances all over the park. Probably like a lot of Well fans, felt like we owed them one. Game started they way St Mirren would have wanted it to but as someone used to say, "we earned the right to play". Thought we actually competed better than them for the majority of the game. Couple of cracking goals and could have been more. Another game where the opposition have said that's their worst performance of the season, funny that.
  3. Routine win again. can’t believe those cloggers put 4 past us in the semi. ref was honking but equally so. we’re going to win the league.
  4. Thought we were excellent today . Potential banana skin after winning the other day . we’re a much better team without AP and Hendry thought there could have been a lot more cards for the dirty tactics - ref let them off very lightly - can accept advantage but why not book them
  5. Was a bit scrappy in the first half but we eventually took a grasp of the game after about 20 minutes and ran out deserved winners. Another clean sheet too. If we can get something at Easter Road we have Livingston and Kilmarnock coming up in the league. We have the best defence in the league and are the most consistent performers in the league. BELIEVE.
  6. Great performance and result today. The ref was utterly horrendous and, once again, so was our final ball.
  7. I think they’d certainly benefit from a wee bit of coaching. Just likes to take an extra touch/cut back. Slats has the power to hit ones from outside the box more often. Said needs a bit more composure around the box. He has incredible skills but seems his brain goes haywire the closer he gets to goal. however, they are still great to watch amd if they can improve their game, who knows where we will end up.
  8. We're the talk of the toon. I still find especially Just and Said plus Slattery to an extent very frustrating to watch from a goal-scoring point of view. Could they benefit from being more direct (i.e. taking quick shots, shots from further out and crossing in quicker)?
  9. I thought we showed a bit of grit and determination today added to our football. While St Mirren are probably physically stronger than us, we didn’t let them push us around and the defence coped very well with Saints predictable high balls into the box.
  10. 7934 crowd, 800 Saints fans , 7134 Home fans truly incredible when you consider how stagnant our crowds have been for years. Average home attendance for the season now 7989.
  11. This is just brilliant. Kudos to the players coaching staff and JBA. We need to appreciate this and sign all the players to long term contracts. If we can get in a reliable striker then Ooft. Praise to the board to for doing their diligence and getting in JBA. I have a feeling we will need to be doing it in the summer again. Over the moon. Glad we beat St Mirren next Saturday now is crucial. A win against hibs gives us some breathing room in 4th and keeps the pressure on for us to climb the table even more. Would qualification for Europe keep JBA with us?
  12. Just short of 800 I think was what I heard at the game.
  13. They make me eat my words every week. I said last week we wouldn't get over 7000 home fans this season and there you go 7100 home fans. Absolutely incredible to think the last time we had these crowds was when John Boyle took over and was throwing cash about like a man with no arms and the catastrophic consequences that has. Thoroughly enjoyed that game again today but it still rattles my chops that that pile of shite won a trophy this season. They are garbage and there was no more a Robbo masterclass as there was in the semi final.
  14. Our home crowds are increasing for the first time since the 1990s as far as I can see! It’s great to see and appears that us playing attractive football and winning matches regularly does help.
  15. Today
  16. They announced it as 800 odd I think, about 6,950 'Well fans which is quite astonishing but totally deserved given what we are witnessing on the park.
  17. Running out of superlatives for McGinn. The guy has been outstanding. itd be a crime if he’s not in the national squad for the World Cup ahead of Ralston / Hanley/ Hendry/ McKenna
  18. How many did Saints bring,? didn't look.a lot 8k , last year and before, even with a good mfc, lucky to get 5k
  19. Just in from the game and that was an enjoyable coast against a team of absolute hammer throwers. Referee was completely incompetent, worst I’ve seen in years. the dream continues
  20. lots of options - Just unlocked their defence time and time again. Everyone was class today.
  21. Big Hanley will be fired up for this game I bet! Let’s hope he doesn’t do us at corner kicks
  22. Just for me. His work rate off the ball is phenomenal but it’s not just aimless running, I think he is a big contributor to our clean sheets in that he slows the opposition down giving our defense time to organize. Add to that he intercepts and steals the ball more often than he should. Last of all, he is a delight to watch on the ball.
  23. A hard fought and completely deserved win. Until the first goal I didn’t see it going our way but what a great move and great finish from the talisman. And great to see Watt on the scoresheet again, he’s been absolutely pivotal for us the last couple of games. On to Easter Road next week. Bring on the Hibees!
  24. Great team win. Very cold but very very happy. Just was awesome.
  25. A very enjoyable and relatively stress free 90 minutes, I'm getting quite used to this. As enjoyable as Tuesday but in a different way. Man for man we were better right across the board, I can't think of a single one of their team I would want at F P. As for that referee, wow!!!!
