  1. Past hour
  2. Still think we need 4 signings one cb two midfielders and a striker. Takes into account McGhee o,donnell and McGinn are injured. And we are likely to lose TJ and stama up front with slats just and watt gone.
  3. Today
  4. What younger fans? Its only been on the go since 2015! I must admit I dont like to hear it sung half heartedly, but at the end of a game after an important win, its brilliant!
  5. Was listening to Sportsound earlier and Andy Halliday was on talking about Alex Lowry. Used to drive him to Tynecastle every day when he was on loan at Hearts so knows him very well. His opinion was that he is a very talented player who should be playing at a higher level, but this is last chance saloon for him. Very good in possession and going forward but needs to accept and take on board the need to work back off the ball to help out the team. Basically said he has told Lowry this, so isnt speaking out of turn, and that every manager he has had cant be wrong about him. Hopefully the boy takes this on board and we see the best of him. If not, he might be back to Wycombe quicker than he thinks.
  6. Although I normally agree or at least see the merit in your opinion, this point I have to disagree with as by the time the mortgage is paid off there will be upkeep costs that would potentially take up that cash. Not saying I disagree with moving to a new stadium and that it is wrong just don’t think this part of the argument is correct.
  7. I often think Bobby Russells impact on us is always very over looked but Cooper for me as he was instrumental in ACTUAL silverware and that was transformational for us closely followed by Tommy Coyne
  8. I’m not so sure. Whenever the ball’s gone into the box, he’s either been caught on his heels, been a step behind it, or fluffed his lines when he has got on the end of it. The only thing he’s really done in the penalty box is score penalties.
  9. AI is only as good as the data it's trained on. With all the out of date, and just wrong, information on the internet it's often wide of the mark. If you can be bothered, you can tell it when it's wrong to help retrain it.
  10. Wait until you hear what the play at Liverpool every week - a show tune from a 1945 American musical.
  11. 150% this . I never heard it sung before that game it just kind of started and everyone sang it.
  12. That's my point, though. You either spend time and money individually evaluating the safety of every single seat in every one of the hundreds of stadia used for Euro competitions every season, or you define a standard and measure against that. It doesn't mean that some seats that don't meet the standard aren't safe, it means they don't meet the standard.
  13. He's a penalty box striker all right , its just the ball never seems to be within range of him when he's in the box. He should be claiming PIP he's injured that often.
  14. I struggle to understand how, two years into Stama’s time with us, some people still think he just needs more time or that there’s a player in there at our level.
  15. I don’t know if it was sang before but the first time I heard and sang it was at Ibrox after the play off game and the rage of the Rangers fans as we were singing it makes it an all time classic for me.
  16. To clarify, he is no longer registered with Rangers, he is a Wycombe Wanderers player? Right? AI was prattling on about him not being able to play against Rangers but I’m thinking it should be renamed ALOI (artificial lack of intelligence)
  17. Looks like they were waiting for money in the bank , before completing new signings as suspected previously .
  18. Don’t think that Spittal suits our present style of football, he’s got the skills but doesn’t track back or close down opponents enough and could leave us exposed. Turnbull - although I agree he’s a class player - similarly wasn’t fast enough or had the stamina at Celtic under the Aussie manager (can’t be arsed trying to spell his name) to play a fast pressing game so not sure about him. I’ll add to that the more obvious thing is that we’ve no chance of getting him on loan
  19. When are they going to change that awful twist and shout song after a win. It's a dirge. Not a Beatles fan either but it's rank. Most of younger fans either don't know it or don't like it.
  20. Setting aside how uncomfortable and cramped the seats are, the health and safety implications are a major issue.. Seriously, until you have actually been in the seat and attempted to let someone limbo past as the rear of the seat collapses under you, it is difficult to appreciate how much of a mistake they have made....no matter how many good intentions came into play. Heaven forbid, but the thought of needing a quick Stand evacuation is frightening. And that is a factor the issuing of a Safety Licence must take intro account. I've been to most grounds in Scotland and I'm struggling to come with one that is worse than what we have been landed with. Next time you are back home I'll happily let you try it out.
  21. I think Lowry is a player thst could really suit our style. This is a big opportunity for him so hopefully got a point to prove. On separate note ( and fearing wrath of spiderpig 🤣🤣). If our new style involves more crosses I wonder if this could benefit AP if he can stay fit. Always feel he's a penalty box player
  22. I get that. Without knowing the exact wording of the rule, and how that is interpreted, its hard to know where the fault, if any, lies. But its similar to the debate about the bucket seats. Folk sat in them for years without incident. How did they suddenly become unsafe? Anyway, the sooner we get to our new Superdome at Ravenscraig the better! 😉😉😉
  23. I'm not sure I would go as far as criminal. A little disappointing maybe, but inevitable when you are building match sharpness. I saw this quote from Alfred on Friday: “We had a situation where I was coaching a player to make a pass to another player and he asked, 'Who is that?' That again puts it into context." I'm confident we will be fitter and sharper in the next leg.
  24. Any time you try and create a standard for something like a seat, it's going to feel a bit stupid. There will be a decent sentiment behind it to avoid being stuck on benches that are falling apart or old wooden seats that are a safety hazard. So they have to try and draw the line somewhere. Inevitably that will make some things look daft.
