Can only echo the other comments relating to Andy, one of the good guys who's opinions on Motherwell and fitba in general were always worth listening to
-
Ugh, that sounds painful.😂
- Today
-
Obviously the guys never met Kettlewell
-
I'd guess their turnover is about 20% higher than ours but they're massively in debt.
-
You know who they are. Last season Hearts spent over £4m on transfers. Hibs spent £3.5m on transfers. Aberdeen spent £2m on transfers. So in the transfer market these teams are outspending us massively, somewhere between 8 - 15 times. And that's not including wages and bonuses. Even after one of our best seasons in decades, a very mediocre and moribund Dundee United are still generating about 20% more than we do off gate receipts and season tickets and that's not even including their European attendances and monies.
-
Heard from an Arbroath fan in Antalya airport last night that we're apparently in discussions with Dunfermline over Neil Lennon...
-
You want fries with that?
- Yesterday

Get the fork and knife out then the new manager is a Chinaman ... Wan Hung Low
-
Stop talking bollock! 🤣🤣
-
And Ill eat your right one.
-
If the new managers name appears on any rumours prior to his appointment, I'll eat my left testicle.
-
Lowe appears to have started his Managerial career successfully but as he moved up the ladder his performance tailed off and issues arose with players, style of play and fan relationships. No doubt he talks a good game and would come across well at interview. Sounds familiar. Not for me as I think it would be a huge step backwards from what we so much enjoyed last season. I get we may not unearth a new Askou but the least we should strive for is a progressive manager who believes in similar principles to JBA. Time for the Board to back up their earlier assurances.
-
After Lowe's Wigan stint his stock has fallen greatly and when you read into his time at the club where he went back to back games with around 20 percent ball possession then i dont think he would fit into the data unless its very very flawed lol. Plus he comes across as a bit of a Kettlewell type very unlikeable.
-
The board are switched on and will be carrying out due diligence so maybe because of the absence of any other rumours , it's getting some traction.
-
Hoping we are not pursuing Lowe. Locally to me, fans at Preston ended up detesting him and his negative tactics. As for Wigan I quote "By far and away the worst and most disgracefully arrogant manager in my lifetime which is saying a lot."
-
Will we see an announcement today? If not, then it'll be Monday at the earliest.
-
Spot on. The ability to coach the right type of footie is not enough in itself. A good manager will also have to communicate effectively and lastly, but by no means least, be a very good man manager. JBA had all 3 qualities.
-
Looks like he was also linked with Northampton and Tranmere jobs but didn't get either. After Wimmer and Jens it feels an under whelming appointment if true.
-
Ryan Lowe was one of the names being suggested on the forums around the time Michael Wimmer was appointed, so it makes sense that he’s come up again.
-
I think Ryan Lowe was mentioned around the tirne of one of our previous appointments (Wimmer, Kettlewell or even Hammell, can't remember which). I seem to remember the talk his wage demands were prohibitive...
-
Ah, fair enough. I have heard his name mentioned as an option recently, but not sure how serious it was.
-
While a manager may have the right idea and approach to how football should be played, they also need the ability to coach the players to be able to play that’s style. Apparently that was a skill that JBA had in that he could clearly Communicate his ideas to the players and have them execute on the field.

Looking at this guy’s record we’d be better off with Arthur Lowe!!
