Pretty sure he will know how and when to play Pinocchio. Part of the job spec.
-
When the seating is replaced unless Mr Caldwell is a dead ringer for Pinocchio. A return to match thread will be most welcomed
-
So by that token when do we revert to bottom tier only to preserve the overused top tier? And are they currently refreshing the bottom tier?
- Today
-
It’s as if the club hierarchy weren’t open in their explanation of preserving lifespan of current seating infrastructure 🤔 Wear and tear, refreshing by blow torch take your pick 🤷♂️

Occurs to me that only using the upper tier when numbers dictate is all about reducing the likelihood of fans invading the playing area and confronting home fans, players and staff. How much abuse would our keeper receive when retrieving the ball? Also restricts the possibility of objects/pyros being thrown onto the pitch areas and players officials being injured. Makes practical sense to me given that Clubs are expected to take all possible precautions to avert crowd trouble. And quite honestly I don't care a toss if visiting fans find it difficult to create an atmosphere. Think back to that Celtic game where all sorts of mayhem erupted with our players being confronted on the pitch. Did our 'top tier' rule not come into play shortly after that game? I would happily bar the OF from the bottom tier as well but money talks I guess. And anyway, does anybody really believe Motherwell fans visiting any away ground are given a prime location where it can be avoided.
-
Poor choice then, would like to know how much they save per game on polis to see if we are cheapskates or not. Still makes club look stupid to our away guests. Who would know nothing of this.
-
As opposed to loads more when the arsecheeks visit.
-
Less police needed if they are up top
-
I agree with you about: the kettle.👍 Wimmer. 👍 JBA. 🫡 COYW
-
Poor state its in , its not really that old in football terms . It takes away the proximity of away fans to us and the game, keeping then up there which lessens the atmosphere. It also looks poor on tv. But I'm sure there is an ulterior motive for it we don't know about . Probably financial.
-
Thats a separate issue Allan, although I agree with you over that. Even when away fans are allocated the upper tier at Fir Park e.g. Killie last Saturday, they are given the entire tier and can sit where they want, without being restricted to specific parts. Last Saturday it must have been only 20-25% full? This Saturday we'll see sections almost full with maybe 2/3/4 empty seats with latecomers i.e. arriving after 2.50 struggling to find a seat yet, Livingston won't open up another adjacent vacant section.
-
Our CEO said one of the reasons we don't use it is because of the poor state it's in. I imagine that matters less when the OF fans are ripping out seats before they leave. I don't think it's the only reason.
-
Naw , its better to have us all kind of tightly packed in together it feels like ground is full of well fans and a better atmosphere . But the away fans on the top deck is a pathetic effort for the last few seasons, anyone any idea why this is the case. Can't need repaired as the fans of the arse cheeks use it.
-
Is it not still in need of some serious repair and remediation?
-
Pardon 🦻
-
Off topic a bit but if we continue to get great crowds is there scope for opening part of away stand for home fans? Hearts, hibs and Falkirk all do this.
-
We do the same with away fans in the Mclean stand at Fir park, by putting them in the top tier only if they are not going to fill it.
-
The last time I asked their stadium manager that question he said it was down to stewarding which baffled me (and him too I suspect) as he walked away when I asked him what the logic behind it was. I'm pretty sure it would take more stewards to monitor 2 separate areas rather than just one.
-
Does anyone know which section the young Well fans will be using, with their drum. Just asking so that I can avoid it if possible. Cheers.
-
My main gripe was with way he left the club and threw support under club with his contradictory stories. Anyway he done us a favour as if he hadn't quit we might not have ended up with JBA via Wimmer. JBA is just an absolute legend
-
Similarly - as an online fan - whenever I watch games at Livi, I don't understand why they leave their main (?) stand almost completely empty. I looks really crap for the TV cameras, why not at least pretend to the world that they've got a decent crowd in by moving a section over there?
-
We've already secured our tickets for Saturday in Block N, but it does my head in when clubs, like Livingston, confine fans to strict sections in their stadia, despite there being plenty of space. Just checked again, and it seems that, so far, they're splitting our support up into 2 quite separate blocks, P & Q and M & N, separated by an empty block, O, in the middle. Why?
-
Just for context, Bodø Glimt are allegedly after £7m for Kasper Høgh - 25 y.o., good goal-scoring record in Norway and in the Champions League - so I think that Maswanhise is below that valuation. If we can get roughly the same fee as we received for Miller, I think that would be acceptable
-
In general first team games only but the women may play on it once or twice at chosen moments.
