Don't think it was naive at all, all he said was a club record fee, which if I recall would be anything above the £1.75 million we got for O'Donnell, so could be £5 m. We are not even sure if he will be away, as that assumes there are big clubs out there willing to spend lots of cash on a great prospect but in reality an unproven player,. You are right it is a forum and no doubt there will be a discussion on how the new singings are doing etc after people have seen them play and formed an opinion on them. SR and the rest of the coaching staff have done just that and decided that Jake Carroll is what we are looking for, time will tell if that decision was a good one.
