  1. Sky are only interested in the ugly sisters games and only show other games because they have to as part of the deal. I am sure they would love to only negotiate with those 2, to save all the pretend interest in the other clubs.
  2. Its already in the odds an sods thread
  3. A nice article on the BBC web page about Motherwells South American adventures in the late 1920's where we were described as " one of the best teams in the world" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53403363
  4. 30 years ago I would have and did so on many occasions, but these days probably not if the game was on TV. But that said football needs fans In the ground the games are souless without them, as the current EPL games on TV demonstrate. TV revenue is important for clubs but so is the match day experience, the clubs have come a long way since the Taylor report forced them to make changes, but that said some of the facilities and services on offer at SPL grounds today are still woefully inadequate. So its time the clubs started providing better facilities, to attract the fans and make them want to go to matches home or away
  5. So thats where you get all the inside info for your predictions about players and new signings, lurking about at training and bounce games.
  6. I know there will be no fans there but a 19:45 ko in Dingwall on a Monday night is garbage, is the game on TV ? If not why can't it be played on the Saturday with the other games, as I assume the Celtic game is on TV
  7. He deserves a big move, 3 year deal apparently and no doubt a life changing wage every week, I hope he gets a chance in the premiership. Best of luck to him.
  8. When all the chat re Hastie started I thought it might be a good move, but now I don't, apart from the couple of months of brilliance that won his move to Rangers he has done nothing to suggest the potential will be fulfilled. His loan spells have done nothing to suggest this either, so all we will be doing is no doubt t paying over the odds to develop a Rangers player for a year and fill a team position that we probably have cover for anyway. So no thanks from me.
  9. After his Rangers contract runs down and they release him without ever getting near the 1st team, he will end up looking for a club like Motherwell again, so we might as well have him now.
  10. Official twitter confirming Dunne has signed a new short term deal @MotherwellFC: Charles Dunne has signed a new short-term deal with the club, as he continues his recovery from injury. Unsure if this means SR thinks he has a longer term future with us when / if he gets fit or we are just doing the decent thing and not releasing him when he is injured.
  11. Aye your profile must need a boost after all these years we have all forgotten about the Albanian 10.
  12. Socially distant crowds, thats normal service resumed for league 1, 2 and most of the Championship then, oh and Accies as well.
  13. Teams from Serbia, Hungary and France probably won't be starting at Q1 with us, I expect their coefficients to be better, can see us going to Wales or the Faroe islands again
  14. £22 a go, is it on the season ticket?
  15. As a 2nd choice keeper I think he is a decent signing, but that said I hope Carson stays fit all season .
  16. Wright is getting linked with the Dundee untd job, but so is every other out of work manager Including Jens Lehman
  17. Well there are no steelworks any more, the craig is gone, and does the Fir tree forest depicted still exist, apart from those 2 the football and the colour scheme are ok
  18. He's not a Motherwell player anymore so no further discussion required, other than the occasional mention in the former players thread.
  19. Totally agree, get your agent to start a bidding war, max out the offers on the table and pick the best one to meet your expectations, absolutely nothing wrong with that, fair play to him.
  20. Too many ex well players going to paisley, Same principles apply though he will go for the best deal on offer, plus Taits probably told him what a great club it is
  21. So we allegedly offered Tait a 3 year deal, so is that idle speculation or were you in the office when the offer was put to him? All this we offred him this or that chat from fans like us is bullshit as we don't know, as is I heard it from a good source at the club pish, so the truth is we don't know end of. But as footballers are like the rest of us when looking for a job, we tend to take the best deal that suits what we are looking for. So as he opted to say no thanks to Motherwell and move to St Mirren I am believing he took the best deal on offer, ie better than Motherwell's
  22. No insanity they probably offered more money and a longer deal, so its a no brainer, simples
  23. I miss Bowman, good honest pro, who was not shy to put himself about, gave us a bit of fight up top.
  24. As has been mentioned on many occasions maybe There is nobody from the current youth squad good enough or able to step up to the 1st team, hence the need to bring players in.
