  1. A quick scan of a few match reports seem to indicate he plays centre mid more often than left side.
  2. I see in the Times this morning Yogi wants to bring Vigurs back to ICT if he can get the budget.
  3. He's as Welsh as James McCarthy is Irish.
  4. I agree - but there is still a contingent of our support who make those snap judgements. Which is ironic given the clamour to blood youngsters who will be even more inconsistent.
  5. Given the step up required between leagues, I don't expect to see the best from Fletcher or Moult for at least 3 months or so.
  6. They are 10 a penny, because every team has them and Scottish football, I'd argue, has too many of them. Filling midfield with guys that can run about a lot, but not so clever when it comes to finding the killer pass. Guys like Nicky Law, Gary McAllister, Bobby Russell (plus of course a fit McFadden) are much harder to find.
  7. Are you saying Pearson, Lasley, Leitch and Cadden aren't ball winners? We are crying out for someone who those guys can pass to, and have been since Josh's brother left us. It's all very well knocking it wide every time, but we need someone more central who can spray the ball around too. A proper Number 10, as it were.
  8. I don't think it's the clubs that decide, is it? Is it not usually the police that determine if a game should be all ticket? (If it is the clubs, then I agree - madness).
  9. Aye. I was only following on twitter, but I was happy to see him make what was obviously a change to try and win the game.
  10. Those are 10 a penny. I'd much rather bring in a Gary McAlliser or Bobby Rusell type.
  11. I don't think we have ever adequately replaced Nicky Law. I'd be fine with Thomas trying to take up that role, but pace on the wings is a different kind of creativty than a central midfielder who can put his foot on the ball and make that yard of space for himself and his team mates. As much as I like Skippy I don't put him in the creative class.
  12. We have players who are tough and scrappy, though. It's someone with a bit more nous and a little more creativity we need right now.
  13. Was McManus having a go at anyone in particular in his press conference? Enjoyed his "if you know anything about football" and "anyone who's been around the game will know" comments.
  14. Maybe if you walk towards it at the right angle it pops out as a 3D image.
  15. Given the SPFL is a new entity, shouldn't we be starting with a clean sheet?
  16. I liked Humphrey, but prefer Marvin.
  17. The club said they provided 3 times more police and stewarding than they did for Celtic games, so that would seem to be a reasonable effort. It was still stupid behaviour from that section of the fans, though, because we all know how the authorities would react.
  18. If the club took all necessary precautions, then it won't be an issue. I think the SFA are right to investigate it, though - even if it's just to exonerate us.
  19. Given our opening fixtures, 7 points or so from the first 4 games would be a decent start.
  20. Of course - that's why I dug out the exact response and posted it here. Specifically so you could point out my lack of attention to the details And now I'm a liar for talking about it after I said I was shutting up.
  21. Yes, it was a very impressive interview and good to hear that Baraclough travelled up to watch the game too. That must be encouraging for the youngsters. Also good to hear the positive attitude shown from the senior members - from the highlights Thomas and Ainsworth looked like they were buzzing.
  22. Response was that they were using a meeting room with no internet or phone connection. That is still a major failing on their part given that they used long distance and overseas members in their original publicity drives and marketing and then conduct meetings in a way that knowingly excludes them. I brought that to their attention for the very first meeting and they acknowledged the issue (with that excuse), which means for every meeting since then they have knowingly excluded us. At the very least they could have recorded the meetings so we could watch (or listen to) them after the fact. The exact feedback I received (on January 30th, 2013) was: "Unfortunately, we don’t have the facilities available to us at this time to enable a conference call and the Wi-Fi signal isn't guaranteed in the Centenary Suite, however we will be happy to look at any other options or ideas you may have." Anyway, I'm sure most people are as bored of reading my complaint as I am of repeating it, so I'll shut up now.
  23. Worse than that, it's the club they are trying to buy that doesn't have them. Maybe Les will lend them his iPhone.
  24. While there has been some clearing out of the old, and some potentially excellent new signings brought in, it's also good to see that 9 of the starting line-up from the 2nd leg of the play-off are still here. So there is a nice balance of continuity and fresh legs.
  25. Would certainly be interesting to see Thomas play more centrally (maybe just off the strikers). He certainly has the skills to spray the passes around.
