  1. Don't need any strikers right now with Sutton, Anier, Moore and Erwin. No idea how Pearson has progressed, but doubt we'd be interested.
  2. So pretty impressive season for us then after losing 8 first team regulars and another reduced budget? You must be gutted.
  3. Aye, that would be just the job.
  4. It turned out that way, but to be fair, he was scoring for fun in the U20s when he was offered the new deal. Like so many, however, he wasn't able to make the step up.
  5. Aye, the same Celtic that complain the league isn't competitive, but won't address one of the main reasons it remains that way.
  6. Won't be any worse needing only a draw than if we need to win and score an early opening goal. EDIT: That made sense in my head.
  7. The big difference with this season's team is lack of draws. Definitely lacking in consistency compared to last season's team, but that is to be expected given the wholesale changes and the injury list we have been dealing with. If we can add a couple more faces next season and keep the core, we should be capable of improvement.
  8. Don't forget Lee Erwin is back in the frame too, now he's recovered from his injury.
  9. Buy another packet of Panini's and see if I could do better.
  10. He definitely was, but if I had to choose between Law and Vigurs, I'd be tempted to give Vigurs the nod on recent form. Be happy with either, though.

While that's true, that style of play seems to be encouraged by McCall, so I don't think it's necessarily the player's fault.
  12. Been a great servant and entitled to go where he likes. Once he's gone, he's gone, but if he does go to Govan big Sutton will be guaranteed a goal from a set piece every time we play them
  13. Worst of the white, maybe, but still 10 times better than this year's black effort.
  14. I don't think we have ever had a white away kit I didn't like. A wee bit of C&A trim, light dirzzle under the floodlights, Bovril in hand watching the ball zip about. Can't beat it.
  15. Nice to see a healthy crowd there today too. Only a few hundred less than for the Celtic game.
  16. It's OK to to have 2 thoughts at the same time.
  17. Business end of the season now - points first, entertainment second. Job done, onto the next one.
  18. Our success agaisnt St. Johnstone in the recent past has come from our speed merchants, which is presumably why we have Zane and Lionel starting. Surprised Hollis got the nod over Gunnar though.
  19. Pity there wasn't a way to listen in as I have a lot of questions about that model. On the surface it seems they want investment from folks that won't be part of the WS, but will never lead to control of the club. I doubt there are many wealthy individuals who would want to donate in return for no control, so there must be something I'm missing here.
  20. I hear their treatment table is heated. I think that's what will swing it.
  21. Aye, anything like that. Skype, Google+, or any of the other free options out there. However, the initial feedback I received when the Well Society was just getting started was that there were no network connections available in rooms they were using for the meetings.
  22. I think I have asked pretty much everyone by now. The only answers I have ever received are "we don't have the infrastructure" or "we'll look into it". Given their reliance on distant fans for contributions, I would have thought it more of a priority to keep them involved.
  23. Wonder how long it will be before they finally offer some sort of teleconferencing for those that are too far away to attend.
  24. For as long as I can remember, 'Well fans have complained about certain players "not tackling" etc. From Brian McLair to Gary McAllister. I even heard it leveled at Bobby Russell and Davie Cooper. If Ainsworth continually tracking back means he's not going to be available for the out ball, or that he can't make as many forward runs, or that he tires quicker, then I'd rather he didn't do it. His net contribution to the team has been positive and hopefully he will be around next season to build on that.
  25. My point wasn't really about the sash (although it seems to have taken on a life of its own), more about how the hoop rarely made an appearance in the 70s and 80s. Having said that, I was lucky enough to watch guys like Wullie P play in the sash kit, so it does have good memories.
