If Baraclough keen to play McDonald deeper (or maybe Skippy himself wants that), then that gives us 4 strikers. Which really isn't a huge number as I don't think we have anyone in te U20s close to stepping up. 2 starters and 2 cover.

Depends if he's fit or not. Fletcher and Moult are still coming up to speed after a pre-season. However, it's a lot easier to come straight in as a striker than it is central midfield. It doesn't make me happy I was right about Talyor, though. It just make me right

Let's go 4-2-4 Ripley Watt McManus Laing Hammell Ainsworth Johnson Fletcher Moult Robinson McDonald They won't be expecting that line-up

I think the McFadden situation definitely played into it. I get the feeling, however, that if he did sign for us there would be a whole new thread on how he tracks back less than Lionel.
-
When he can be bothered he is a good player. Seems to be far too many games when he really doesn't bother, though.
-
BBC gave up on that due to cutbacks, unfortunately. I'm with you on this - I was hoping we had an MFC TV (or radio) replacement in place sooner, but I can see how it might be financially unviable.

Not only do strikers miss chances, but good strikers don't let misses worry them. I thought Moult's finish at Methil was a strike of a guy wot confidence.
-
Probably an age thing, but while Ferguson was very good, he wasn't in the great Scottish midfielders class like a Souness or even a Gary McAllister - both of whom proved themselves on bigger stages.

I thought I was the old man on here. https://www.periscope.tv It's the Twitter owned app that lets you broadcast live video from your phone to your followers.

Just use Periscope and a decent 4G connection.

He did choose to leave to Glasgow. I remember the fanfare at the time - followed by zero offers.

They were both good players but not as good as the media would have us believe. McStay's ultimate embarrassment was when he was touted for a move down south and nobody wanted him.
-
A certainty we'll concede too. So, 0 - 0 then.

Not including the play-offs, Baraclough won 7 and drew 5 in the second half of last season. In his first full season in the SPL, wee Tommy won 7 and drew 6. That is why I'm prepared to give any manager a decent amount of time.

The difference in the amount of information shared by clubs is typically down to whether they are publicly traded or not. If they are public, then there is more information they need to disclose in their accounts and some details they can't make public for legal reasons. As for injuries, for some injuries, there is no timescale except "wait until it's better". The club certainly don't owe us that kind of information and it probably violates EU privacy laws if they communicate health details without the players consent. I'm more interested in the available players and how they perform, to be honest. If Moult and Skippy start in Saturday it doesn't matter if Fletcher is out for a week or a month; he will have no influence on the result.

3 - 1 to us with a Moult double and Skippy with the third. Killie score with a soft goal started down our right side.
-
It's also led some folk to think they are being personally lied to about it because the club hates them and their family.
-
You had to bring that up? Wasn't that when a 17 year old Pat Nevin tore us a new one? Or was he 16 at the time?
-
What's our record with and without Vigurs during the same period? Seems like we are pretty poor this season without him.
-
Do you think they were lying when they said it was minor, or that was the advice the doctors gave them? I know everyone goes into meltdown when the team hits a run of bad form, but this is getting OF-like ridiculous. We only stayed up last year by winning a play-off. I think a few people on here need to reset their expectations for this season. We need to take some time to rebuild, and we shouldn't be expecting a Top 6 finish. All the seasons we were best of the rest and people were still on here moaning I kept pointing out they should enjoy it more because there were plenty of shit seasons around the corner. This will be one of them, so you need to try and find a way to enjoy it or you'll be miserable until June.

Not that old chestnut. Now you are scraping the barrel for reason to hate the guy. Some of the greatest coaches ever show nothing on the side lines. In fact, I'd argue, that very few of the best are in the "scream and yell" category. My favourtite example is Bill Belichick at the New England Patriots. Whether you love them our hate them, the guy is coaching genius with an ourstanding track record, but look at him during a game (even in the Superbowl), and you don't get a flicker of emotion from the guy. I'd also question any professional who needs to be yelled at by the gaffer to produce a performance. My boss doesn't need to come and yell in my face every day to get to do my job.

GCHQ/NSA be damned - it's an ankle injury.
-
Our track record of signing people who had one good game against us in the cup is not stellar.
-
Just watched the highlights. Not much to say except we'd have lost that game this time last year (and McCall wouldn't have subbed anyone until the 85th minute).

Who knows? But as any manager will tell you, there is a world of difference between preparation and execution.
