If the sponsor is paying for an advert and then we publish the billboard without the advert on it, i'd imagine they'd be fairly pissed off and claim a chunk of their money back.

See if everyone in the world was the exact same and had the same likes/dislikes and turn ons it would be a right boring as fuck place. I quite like to see a new strip but don’t get overly excited about it. However when I was a kid/teenager (long time ago) I would have been all over Twitter and this site waiting on the release. Not everyone is a middle aged Burberry wearing dude. Too many folk on this these days just looking for a reason to moan like fuck at and about other folk.

Those suggesting a back four with Kipré and Hartley at centre back and not Dunne need their heads read. His pace and the fact he's left footed means he's always likely to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Regards departures. At least one midfielder, possibly two, will leave. I suspect Frear might want away but were we to let the only natural winger in our squad go, it truly would leave us with no plan B. Could we avoid relegation after selling Carson, Kipré, Campbell and Cadden? Would be an interesting challenge...

Don't worry, ubh, when I win the Euro lottery and take over the club, you'll be given the lifetime strip designer gig (under executive supervision). Other priorities: extend main stand to fullest extent. Remove yella paint splashes on concrete wherever they occur in the stands . Roll and black pudding option in all club catering outlets. Thanks for the compliment, however, I can assure you that no felt tip pens were harmed when I was commissioned to redraw the retro script font for the club. With your in-depth critique I assume you have a degree in typography/graphic design?

Yes, hard to tell at the mo if it's just the half-hearted (aka pusillanimous) advertising band or an actual hoop but the strip of two years ago had a slight break in the hoop under the oxters. Probs just the "affix sponsor's name here" band though. Don't mind the Roma FC-looking second strip and retro MFC script at all but, being basically C&A, it doesn't really solve a clash, which is why a mainly white strip with claret and amber facings was always a good idea. On the bright side, you could be a Bradford City fan tonight.....

Apparently the 'not yet revealed 'twist'' is a sleeveless replica of the home top to appeal to the man-children who want to wear the strip on their summer holidays

not much difference as I expected. the second strip is nice though. I really hate white shorts whit the home top... I know the traditionalists will faint at the very idea.

The majority of punters will probably agree with you as they only see it as an functional work uniform for eleven + guys to wear at their day job. As a kit design fan I always look forward to ours and other kit releases.

On your last point, I'm led to believe Aldred never had any intention of being here any longer that he was, and that was made very clear at the outset. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties. We got his services, and he got a shop window to get him out of his current club and into another that's reasonably local to him. Relocation up here was never on the table.

I'd be surprised if we started the season with a different system from one that was so successful last season. When you look at our defensive record it would a bit of a shock to change this unless there was significant outgoings. I think the system plays to our defensive strengths. It has served us very well, I wasn't a fan of it initially but I think it's been proven to work very well. There has been a definite resurgence in the 352 both in the SPFL (and in Europe) the likes of Celtic and St Johnstone used a variation of it for example. With that being said this system is clearly at the detriment to the likes of Cadden and Frear so maybe Robbo will make a decision to try something new to adopt a more expansive style. This though is a bit of a balancing act as reverting to a 4 at the back leaves one of the 3 centre backs out which arguably was where we were most strong last year. Only thing I can think of that would suit the 4 is moving Dunne to left back (which was meant to be his natural position) I personally prefer him left of a 3 however as his pace bailed us out of a lot of sticky situations last year. The only real problem I see in continuining with this system is where Chrissy Cadden plays. IMO he has been pretty pish any time I have seen him through the middle, I don't think it suits him or the team in general. To me, Cadden needs to be a winger in an advanced position running at full backs, not a wing back and not a central attacking midfielder. I think Cadden should always be a nailed on starter so to me the only option is he continues in the RWB position with Tait staying at LWB. I'm not sure ATS is here as a 100% starter but I would have thought the idea was to get Tait on to his natural side. The good thing about this debate is we now appear to have more options in terms of system. Obviously it remains to be seen but it appears on the face of it that we have greater strength and depth. Has anyone heard anything on the Aldred side of things? I know we have 3 solid centre backs but I would be surprised if we haven't atleast tried to recruit him. Was a big fan of him last year.

Spot on. Believe me, we want the kit out as quickly as possible, there is no hidden agenda or reason for us to want to hold onto it longer than required! The shirts are down at a printers having the logo's professionally applied so we have to allow for a large number of boxes to be couriered there, printed, re-packaged and then couriered back to us - all while not being the only football club requiring their services!

Replace Frear with Taylor-Sinclair and bring in Dunne and I could go with that. Given his form after the Winter break I just cannot understand why anyone in their right mind would dump Dunne. Seems like there are still a lot of haters out there, irrespective of how he performs. But I think Robinson will definitely start with McHugh and I'm not convinced Johnson is here to sit on the bench. Also I suspect Tanner will need time to get properly match fit. But isn't it refreshing to have decent options. Good luck Mr Robinson
