  1. If we are to move at some point in the future, then Ravenscraig would certainly be my preferred option. Not only for the commercial / financial benefits that may bring from being part of a larger structured community plan, but also with the view to maintaining our links with our history as a steeltown club. There is a history attached to Fir Park which will be lost. But it could be replaced with a new history if we are located on the site of the old steelworks. Having a steelmaking / club museum co located on the same site as the new stadium (even within it) would be a fantastic way to connect the 2 things for the next generation.

  2. Bit harsh , Lamie is now only a Scotland cap beside Andrew Considine away from a glittering career that rivals Declan Gallagher's and hes a Galactico on here.

  6. Given the strict interpretation of the new rules, we were lucky the ref didn't blow for hand ball.

  8. Coincidence I would say is not just the management change it’s that we have now have a top goalie in place Lamie is at center not left back and our started left back has returned from injury. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. And you could put that down the red card. I find it quite telling that Polworth hasn’t been in the team since.

  11. If the process was carried out properly, the possibility of a successful appeal would be very unlikely and for a case to be taken to the Court of Session (on a legal technicality) in this sort of situation would be very costly; circa £60-70K I'd think, and unlikely to succeed. An application could be approved contrary to the Local Development Plan, although thats not easy but rezoning when the Plan is reviewed should be straightforward. You're right, in that the Council would be keen for the club to move to a marquee development on a large brownfield site, such as Ravenscraig. In the case in which I was involved, the Planning authority was happy for the club concerned to sell its ground for retail uses providing that it identified and developed a feasible new site not far from the existing stadium.

  12. 50% of success in football is confidence. We started the season dominating possession but could not put the ball in the net. The confidence slowly slipped away and decent players started looking poor. The main part of this squad finished third last season, they did not suddenly become one of the worst group of players in the last 50 years and they have proven that in the last half dozen games. A decent keeper and Carroll back has made a difference, the return of Donnelly will be another boost.

  13. I am too shallow to vote for Lamie, he has a lot of catching up to do.

  14. never said we played well but there are people on here who expect us to play total football when our objective is to stay in the division. Whether you like the style or not I'll happily take s***e performances from now till the end of the season if we keep getting 3 points and then see what Alexander does with the squad for next season.
