The thing that really bothers me about VAR is that basically every goal is going to be checked so for me that takes a lot of the raw emotion out of the game. There was an example yesterday down south in the Crystal Palace game, I think it was Crystal Palace anyway, where they scored, crowd went crazy, everyone celebrating and then quite a bit later it gets chopped off for the most marginal offside you'll ever see. I think it's really important we don't lose the 'feeling' of the game. I'd actually rather be cheated here and there than lose the enjoyment of watching football overall.

I thought Lundstram’s was a red. That type of foul that stops a breakaway is of course usually a yellow, but when he is miles away from the ball, has absolutely no intention of playing for the ball, and it’s knee height, that’s a red for me. I haven’t seen the Celtic game today but I’ve read online that none of the Celtic fouls merited a booking. I really don’t think refs are biased, just extremely incompetent. VAR will for sure help with that in this country.

Not at all, Im not excusing it Im just reiterating that there is nothing unique in the Motherwell support. Every club has their arseholes and the numbers will be proportionate to the size of their support.

I take it your not saying it's ok because it also happens elsewhere? What happens at other clubs is irrelevant. If it is the case at Motherwell then it is an issue. An embarrassing and damaging issue.

On a slightly different note, I'd love to see the punishment for stopping a breakaway with a cynical foul changed to be an automatic red.

When VAR is implemented is there not a minimum number of cameras that need to be up and running so that as many different angles as possible are available. So in theory that should make decisions like the one yesterday a lot easier to determine either way. VAR is far from perfect but given the number of dubious decisions we had this weekend it has to be better than what we Currently have, ok we benefited yesterday but it's guaranteed we will at some point to be on the wrong side of a decision given the Current standard of refereeing we have in Scotland. For me anything that helps the refs get it right and bring some consistency to decision making can only be a good thing.

I don't actually agree with this line of thought. No lover of Rangers but does ANYONE other than Willie Collum think Lundstrum should have got a red for that yesterday? It's just obvious it's not a red. I'd agree if you said you can't moan about marginal decisions but there are loads of decisions being made in Scottish football that anyone watching can see are wrong or inconsistant. I think one of the things about VAR that's going to be interesting is if it changes referee behaviour because you absolutely get the impression right now that some of them, especially Willie Collum, are out their to be the centre of attention rather than actually referee properly. Would Collum give that red with VAR watching? If the answer is no then I think you have to say that certain referee's are abusing their position and that can't be allowed just because we don't have VAR in place.

Not seen it so can't comment but when you see a few of the ridiculous ones st Mirren got against us in past few years then we are due a break...sorry Livi fans

I think (hope) it will eliminate obvious dreadful offside calls and blatant incidents that our officials somehow manage to miss. As for incidents where it’s a judgement call like red or yellow, was it a foul or not for a penalty, I fear those will go the OF way as mentioned but that may just be paranoia on my part. We should have our VAR teams outside of Scotland.

Aye a clean sheet is always good to get,a lot has been made about that nouble and how much of a handful he is but I thought sol was excellent up against him today,he hardly gave him a kick.

Speed is one thing you can't coach into a player, not saying he's Cobra Coyne, but give him a chance.

Efford isn't good enough for this league. He's part of the Alexander generation and we have moved beyond that.
