  1. It would be great to see Van Veen playing with players the quality of Murphy, Law, Humphrey, Faddy and Higginbotham. His supporting cast of Shields, Obika, Mandron, Morris, Spittal, McKinstry, Efford and Tierney has to be the worst group of attacking players we have ever assembled.

  6. Yes, sounds like KVV is in an excellent frame of mind and after the result at Celtic I’m sure all the players are up for these last 5 games. Can’t come quick enough. I’m ok with MJC saying not safe yet but looking forward to our next few games where I’m expecting us to confirm safety.

  7. This sounds more like you're agreeing with MJC.

  8. Agree 100% Grizzly. I alwys used to have a soft spot for them but not now. It would be great if we could start off the final 5 fixtures with a thumping win. 3 early points would calm a lot of nerves.

  9. Who do you want at home first next season? Hoping for Arbroath or Ayr personally.

  10. Be great if we could beat Killie as I reckon we only need 1 win and we will be safe. It would put us 9 clear of them with 4 games left. Even a draw against them would be ok due to our goal difference counting as an extra point

  11. We haven't beaten Kilmarnock or St Johnstone once this season in 3 attempts against each. Dundee United may well be safe by the time we meet them. 3 very, very tough games against potentially fired up sides fed on raw meat beforehand, but no reason to be overly pessimsitic. We won't finish bottom. Draws against Killie and St Johnstone will do us just fine and will douse their fire a little. Remember we're several points ahead, although that margin might diminish a little. If we can pick up a few draws at minimum we'll be fine although I hope that Ketts has the team battling for its life. Nothing less will do.

  12. If we cannot get enough points given that we have home games against the bottom three teams, then we don’t deserve to stay up. It is in our own hands.

  13. You're on the money Yorky. Best for all concerned if he moves on in the summer. He and his agent will know exactly what valuation we've put on his head. Hopefully his agent won't try to pull a fast one and demand a fee from both our club and the player! Just joking. Its in everyone's interest that he bangs in the goals between now and the season's end if he's given the chance.

  14. Are you sure your not a Rangers fan MJC? I think the 'rather not see that again' quote might have been me. Sorry if it offended you. You have certainly been holding onto it for some time. I think that quote was months ago. Just to clear things up on that. I loved Bobby Russell as a player. I loved Colin O Neill as a player. His goal in the 4-2 Scottish Cup semi final gave me my single most enjoyable moment as a football fan on what was for me the greatest night of being a Motherwell fan in my life. I loved wee Tommy McLean. His management coincided with my most enjoyable days going to the football. I get nothing but pleasure from watching the videos above. They bring back many happy memories. Davie Cooper was a gift from the heavens to Motherwell at the time and I consider it an absolute privilege to have watched one of the most gifted players in Scotland history wear claret and amber. When I think of all these players I think of players who were playing for the Motherwell jersey. They were celebrating goals as Motherwell players. Tommy McLean sides were beating Celtic and Rangers for the Motherwell jersey. My favourite ever Motherwell player happened to be Tommy Coyne, an ex Celtic man. I remember him having to take the abuse of Rangers fans about the tragic death of his wife when we played Rangers are Firpark and Coyne was visibly shaken. I think from memory Tommy McLean had to substitute him. It is those kinds of moments that strengthen s my belief that Rangers are not better than Celtic despite your claims otherwise. On Skippy Sunday I felt that Terry Butcher was celebrating more than just a Motherwell win. It is a personal opinion of mine that has obviously caused you some offense but it does remain something that I would not care to see again. I enjoyed Motherwell's draw on Saturday as much as I enjoyed Skippy Sunday. The impact that the Skippy Sunday result had on either Celtic or Rangers meant nothing to me. As one last aside, if Celtic or Rangers were playing a European final I would and have supported both of them. Any bitterness I have for the OF does not extend beyond my wish to see Motherwell thump them both every time we play them. Sadly these days the pickings are lean. It's what makes Saturday's result something to celebrate and the videos above something to cherish forever.

  16. For me Not binning Hammell quick enough cost us a top 6 chance and a longer run in the Scottish cup.
