First new signing in the door today. Just remember, even if we're not being "linked" to anyone by lazy journalists doesn't mean the management team isn't working away and getting things done quietly.

Any away kit that uses a lot of colour from the first kit seems a bit pointless if the intent is to avoid a clash. Was never a fan of the claret tops. The claret and amber trimmed white kit variants have always been my preference.

If you know of any strikers in our price range that are a guaranteed 20 goals a season then you should speak up. If you know of any strikers outside of our price range that are guaranteed 20 goals a season you should become an agent - although I wouldn't tell any prospective clients about your posting history where you were telling people Higdon was fat and useless.

Tom Aldred wasn't wanted at Bury. Scott McDonald had one foot on the boat back to Australia. Kipre was second choice of the trialists. We've got the best out of any number of players that didn't fit in anywhere else. Is he a sure thing? Nope, but I'm struggling to remember the last 'sure thing' we signed..

Given that he couldn't get a game for Walsall for most of last season he's likely another Mandron. Not encouraging.
