To me the definition of a wage thief was the fucker who didn’t play for 6 month claiming a back injury but as soon as his contract was up fucked off up north and miraculously was fit enough to play again.

These games are the perfect opportunity to give young players their chance. Obviously the main objective has to be to win the game but being realistic we have the strongest squad in the group so we can afford to blood our young talent here. For us as a club we need to be developing young players who can go on to make an impact on the first team so these games are the perfect chance for us to do that.

A professional job done - no more no less. It put more minutes into legs, blooded some youngsters, gave Lennon Miller his first goal and took us to the top of the group. Queens Park, probably our nearest rivals, also failed to win. SK will have picked up on weaknesses and will feed them into his squad reshaping.

We are very lucky to have Miller as I think he's the best Scottish player in his age group from what I have seen watching the Scotland u17s and most of the best young Scottish talent is heading south these days. Celtic and Rangers have lost a lot of their best prospects so it's impacting everyone. If Miller plays to his potential and progresses there will be a lot of interest in him.

2-0 it should have been more but the result was never in any doubt a great start to the league cup campaign. The opposition was poor but we looked comfortable the whole game, even though the stream was shocking. A good day at the office onwards and upwards.

It’s not just Old Firm fans though. some Motherwell fans are dribbling out similar nonsense, on here and Twitter. And as ever what these folk who bang on about “not wanting anything that makes us look associated with Rangers” are missing is that by having that kind of attitude and coming out with that kind of talk, THEY are the ones bringing Rangers/bigotry etc into the equation and thus giving them far more recognition and relevance than they deserve. Whatever kit we bring out has absolutely fuck all to do with Rangers or any other club, but these folk just can’t see it and are too busy obsessing about them and pacing the floor at night thinking about them no doubt.

Looking forward to this one. Making the journey up mostly because its another League ground to tick off the list, but also the brother in law stays up there so free digs! No excuses here. Our squad may still be threadbare and it is early season, but we still have more resources than them and they havent played any competitive games either. Just win.

If we are terminating the contracts of individuals who are being embursed to make a material effect for the club on the field of play but are sadly falling short of that expectation for whatever reason which may or may not be any fault of their own, then I think we are displaying prudence and sound judgement.
