  1. You must be raging a Motherwell win and another weekend wasted for you.

  2. If only it were that simple, eh? The current manager has probably had to work with one of the smallest playing budgets our club has had in recent times. That's clearly reflected in the players we have. There are a lot of reasons why we don't start some games all that well. Factors such as early goals, injuries, or unexpected opposition tactics all necessitate on-the-fly adaptations by the manager. That applies to all managers of all teams, of course. There are times when we start a game really well, and it's then on the opposition coaching team to work out a way to combat that. I mean, generally, one of the two teams in any game has to start off as the better side. So there's a 50/50 chance it will be us. Many people seem to overlook the fact that the opposition's response adds another layer of complexity. We don't operate in a vacuum. It's not just about what we do. The opposition plays a part in the game as well. They may make tactical changes during the game, requiring the manager to react accordingly, which Kettlewell has shown on a few occasions he's more than capable of doing. How many fans of clubs do you hear moaning about no "plan B"? Well, that's not really a problem for us, as Kettlewell has shown he has the ability to read and react to a number of circumstances, which considering the quality and budget he has available, is admirable on its own. I'd go as far as to say that a top six finish with the current squad we have would be nothing short of astounding.

  3. Moses has parted the sea or as it's more commonly known dundees pitch.

  4. Watch the rangers dictate and get exactly what they want on Wednesday, as that pitch will be even more unplayable after today.

  5. In some circumstances there is a perfect way to win a game. Today was that day.

  6. It's worth remembering that certain people who will remain nameless have been greetin' about every manager we've had for years now. Those same people were moaning about Robinson, Alexander, McGhee, Baraclough, McCall, and on and on. And if and when Kettlewell moves on, they'll do the same about the next guy. Some folk just get a kick out of being negative. I personally think he's a very good coach for us. Sure, there are better ones out there, but we're Motherwell. I'm not sure many better managers would be throwing people out of the way to get to Fir Park and work with our budget. If we make the top six this season, considering the squad we have? I'd say that's pretty astounding. It won't stop some people from focusing on the teams who didn't make the top six, though, and saying that it wasn't because of us being decent.

  7. That 90mins probably summed up our whole season. A complete roller coaster of a ride going through every emotion under the sun from despair to elation. Currently enjoying a pint with some Dundee and Dundee Utd fans in Dundee city centre and what they're saying about their teams could be lifted straight from our forum. One thing I've learned from today is never to post anything during a game because it will inevitably come back and bite you on the arse. MJC Yodo and Steelboy take note🫠

  8. Let’s hope for a huge crowd at fir park next week. in fact, looking back on high expectation games/crowds we’ve had in past games, let’s hope for a small crowd and a scraped win.

  9. I understand the frustration. That first hour was truly awful. I'm over the moon that we won in the end but we can't rely on coming from behind every week. We have to improve massively over ninety minutes next season.

  10. 60 minutes and no shot on target. The fact that people think this is an acceptable standard is mental. The manager should have been gone before Christmas.

  11. I am in no doubt that the game would've been called off weren't it for the fact of the looming split. Utterly ridiculous decision-making from the SPFL / SFA as usual.

  12. If they interview Kettlewell, that's season 1 sorted.

  14. If you read what the Dundee fans are saying, their complaint is the opposite of ours - how many times they've taken the lead and failed to hold onto it. It would be great to start games strongly more often, but that's this league for you I suppose, riddled with inconsistency.

  15. I'd say our obvious weak spot is giving up soft goals. That, however, is not a tactical thing - it's an individual mistakes thing.

  16. There will be folk who will never be convinced but I really like the guy. Yes he over thinks things and has made mistakes but who doesn't? He deserves the summer to rebuild and his January signings actually looking not too bad and Moses could be the penalty box striker we are crying out for. Next week we have chance of top 6 which go back 3 months and we were thinking 11th was our only hope. Yes we might lose next week but here's hoping we win and actually hope for Gers and Dons wins v dundee

  17. Great post, after the 3-3 game at Pittodrie there were posters claiming that Kettlewell should have changed things at 3-0 up, today, there are posters claiming our starting XI was all wrong. Make your F###ing minds up.

  18. Theo Bair in 2024: 9 goals in 12 league games. KVV in 2024: 0 goals in 8 league games. I said a few times I didn't want him back this year, and this is why. He obviously wasn't close to being fit and his head was definitely not in the right place. He might sort himself out again over the summer, but likely to revert back to his more typical 9 or 10 goals a season form. We did well to get the best from him when we did. Still a legend, though.

  19. Still amazing to see that, apart from The Cheeks, we are top scorers in the league. Personally I like to see our goals being spread around rather depending on a KVV-type. Let's all get down to FP next Saturday and get behind the team. "Mon The Dossers!

  21. Tell you what, that was a great finish by Moses. For his first outing he looks decent. Also another special mention for big ODonnell, thought he was excellent when he came on. im trying not to focus on that dundee second goal and just bask in a glorious comeback.

  22. Exactly, over thinks how to start a game, usually negatively. Then reacts well once hes seen the opposition play. Not a very good combination hes got to improve on this over thinking stuff during the week n play to our strengths.

  28. Aberdeen game we lose a goal second phase from a corner. St Mirren game Kelly goes walk about and they score from a corner. Today direct from a corner. A joke of a keeper and manager.

  40. You don't expect a sensible, fan-based approach from the blazers, and shouldn't expect anything other than a shambolic dungheap of a pitch from a club who sacked their head groundsman months ago and failed to replace him.

  42. This is down to the SPFL and Dundee. We are the innocent party here. Its not down to incompetence. We're simply pawns in a "bigger game". With the final pre split games fast approaching the SPFL could easily have scheduled Dundee's outstanding game against Sevco for last midweek. That would have left next midweek free for contingencies. What's the problem with that you might reasonably ask? It all seems very logical. However Sevco have a game on Sunday against guess who? Celtic no less. Therefore the SPFL had to give them a free midweek. Preferential treatment? As for Dundee, as Falkirk did years ago, they prioritised playing budget over pitch renovation. Why should we suffer? Nb. Thousands of complaints about sectarian hatred at Sunday's OF game, under the Hate Crime Act, but no action taken by Police Scotland.

  44. Very impressed with his interview and won't take any nonsense. Maybe having someone with no affiliation to the club will be good. Burrows done a lot of good things but maybe being a huge well fan in a strange way worked against him as he wanted to be everyones pal
