So, this match thread will be a lot shorter than last weeks, seeing the Four W****rs of The Apocolypse won't have anything to post about 🙂 Well done to the oot his depth manager and his not SPL standard team 🙂5 points

I won't. They can roll up their plastic pitch and take a hike. Zero entertainment ever on offer at their ground against any team.3 points

It's more than breathing space. Nine ahead of St J with three to play and a 22 goal GD advantage. We're safe.3 points

I am not 100% sure exactly what side of the fence the original pie and Bovril poster is landing on but certainly the notion that it is not possible to realise emotions of anger and frustration out with 90 mins of a football match suggests a laziness of thought and a lack of willingness to take responsibility for our own lives. There are other ways to tackle these emotions that do not involve abusing other human beings at a football match. I don't doubt that many of us live our lives under significant stress. The figures for male suicide in particular is staggering and ofcourse football is a fantastic way to escape from the stresses and strains of our daily life. However football cannot be used as an excuse for intimidating and aggressive behaviour. I have watched Motherwell fans over the years hiding behind the claret and amber flag to excuse behaviours that would not be accepted in any other walk of life. What about the players suffering with mental illness? What about the steward that has dragged him/ herself to work after a family bereavement? What about the policeman/ policewoman gripped by anxiety? What about the football manager who's life is falling apart because he/ she is spending all their time trying to keep a job that is always only potentially a few weeks from ending? Do these people stop being human beings from 3pm till 445pm on a Saturday so that the rest of us can vent our frustration? Are we really that selfish?3 points

Just as well Nicholson scored a worldie as I was starting to fall asleep. I'd describe the first half as 'low key'. We played OK but I didn't see too many outstanding displays and let's be honest Livvie knew they were away and we didn't really have anything to play for. The game just had that uncompetitive feel about it a lot of the time with no real edge. One more home match and I'll take another 4-1 win but today just had that 'end-of-the-season' feel about it.2 points

We were discussing that this at the Game Dave, 3 games to go and the goal of the season has been picked and we had the winner today in my opinion. The award should have been made after 38 games played, not 35.1 point

Why was this vote closed so early? Surely Sam Nicholson's screamer today would have been a top contender?1 point

Honestly... We may have stuttered to safety but it feels brilliant being a Motherwell fan this evening.1 point

I think in the first half there wasn't a lot between the teams and it was clear Livi were fighting hard. But I think the penalty and Nicolsons goal settled us.1 point

An enjoyable encounter which sealed our safety for yet another year. That will allow SK to take his squad planning a stage further.1 point

Kettlewell's Motherwell TV interview is like he's won a Nobel Prize rather than beat David Martindale's Livingston.1 point

A good win without playing particularly well and some nice finishes. Gent has to be the best crossser of the ball we've had since Davie Cooper, if we had a Sutton type forward who thrives on crosses he would have got assists every game. Nicholson looked the sharpest he's been but it's hard to judge against Livi. Watching Halliday is painful, he was burst after 15 minutes and Livi players were dribbling round him like a traffic cone.1 point

Ok spill the beans , did he get aff wi yer burd or skip in front of you at the mega bar. He was a great player for us and scored some really important goals and quite regularly.1 point

Easy to say Livi have gave up the ghost but I think we’ve been relentless and played at a high tempo all game. good solid performance today against a team who aren’t the easiest to play against.1 point

Spittal getting dogs abuse from someone a few rows in front of me The fan was told to shut up and sit down and it got a tad heated.. And we scored 30 seconds later 🤣 And he's looking to fight people now. And being escorted out by stewards. Someone else chased after him... And fell flat on his face right behind me and my mum.1 point

At first I thought he stuck his hand out but then on seeing replay it hit his upper arm which was pretty well close to his body.1 point

Think basically what today should be about is 100% encouragement behind the players today. I really can't be bothered with a sat evening moanfest so here's hoping for 3 points.....COYW1 point

Last time I checked teams don't get relegated on their managers win percentage. Points and league placings are what matter, and we're currently sitting 9th. And we're closer to 8th than 10th. That's a good job. Not a great job, but a good job, with room for improvement.1 point

I would say it doesn't apply to messageboards, although the principle of respect certainly should. Shouting at a game tends to be more spur of the moment and impetuous, although there are exceptions. Posting on a message board is more of a detached, measured and thought out process. Again there are exceptions for example in terms of personal and abusive posts. Robust debate is fine but abuse is not. The term "troll" is much misunderstood and misused though.1 point

Well the I know something you don't know re a new manager was spoken on here a couple of months ago. I saw more than one poster saying they knew who the club would appoint if Kettlewell left and someone said everyone knows who it is. I had no clue. My personal view is that Kettlewell might have been the cheap appointment. But he wasn't the wrong one.1 point

Personal view is he's the best manager we've had since McCall, which makes him the best in the last 10 years. Rate him above Barralough, McGhee, Robinson, Alexander and Hammell. Given we've reduced the spending, squad size and he's lost less than 1/3 of games, has a decent enough win record , has us 8th in the league. Plus seems to be a normal guy who cares, speaks well I'd put him close to McCall -who for the majority of time was excellent. He's made plenty of mistakes but appears to learn and move players on quickly. Add to that expect him to improve as he learns and grows. I'm really happy to have him.1 point
