  1. Given that I'm about 40 years older than their target demographic for shirt sales, my thoughts are irrelevant. If it was a nod to 100 years ago, however, I would have kept it stripes only.

  2. Looks to me like they’ve tried to cram two different designs onto the same shirt. I just don’t get why we can’t stick with the amber shirt and claret band. It’s distinctive and people recognise it as ours. Do other clubs mess about with their traditional look as much as we do? Take Celtic, for instance – they keep their hoops. You don’t see Manchester United randomly switching to stripes, do you? Maybe one shirt in the last twenty years had a “V” on it, but they mostly stick to their main design and colours. There are still two other kits each season where you can be as creative as you like.

  4. That's now at least two gambles involving Riku Danzaki that haven't paid off.

  7. I literally just shat my breeks there. Went on the BBC sport Scotland web page and right next to the 'Pressley is new Dundee manager', there was a headline saying 'McGhee joins Motherwell'. Took me a minute and a fair bit of colon tightening until I remembered.........

  11. He may well be a motherwell fan but he will need to toe the bbc old firm line , the same as Gordon Duncan on snide.

  13. To be fair, I don't think even Kettlewell would sign Grizzly, unless it's one of his panic moves in the January window.

  17. Happy with that. A whole hearted reliable defender. Just what we need

  18. Not bad at all. Always reserve judgement until I've seen it up close but first impressions are I like it. The pin stripes remind me of the old away kit and Rab McKinnon running the line in it

  19. Agree with that. We need the same kind of forward thinking that got us excited when we saw the style Wimmer was looking to develop.

  20. I know what you mean, but the hoop and/or band has only been used on about 50% of our kits in our history. Even when I started watching us around 1970, we only had one hoop season until 1984. Our kit in the 1925-26 season looked like this: I'd be OK if we did that as a tribute 100 years later.
