I'm starting to think you've never seen youngsters integrated into new teams before. Giving them a 10 minute workout in a game with no pressure is pretty standard. Otherwise you end up with fans posting on websites calling them dug shite because they hadn't got up to speed instantly with their new team mates the first 60 minutes they played.7 points

Not any worse than the nonsensical S***e you post on here before every match. I know an emoji wasn't used so you must have been the only one who realised it was a joke3 points

I need to give a shout out to Sods - a player I've given a lot of stick too last year I was pleased he was playing on Saturday and not put a foot wrong this season Well done my man2 points

On watching the draw I had a wave of positivity, thinking what a great opportunity we have to reach a final. Something which has happened only a handful of times in my lifetime. I then come on here and feel like someone has just shat on my chips…. Cheers2 points

Agree with you that’s it’s two way street and not for a minute am I saying he’s proving to be a great asset at the moment . Theres no debate re him missing chances as the stats are the stats . He has missed and fluffed his lines and yes we should expect a decent goal return . my impression (which is subjective and could be wrong ) is he has ability and really struggling for confidence . I suspect once he gets a goal or 2 he’ll bang in a decent return . Hope I’m right and equally concerned that the longer the drought the tougher it becomes to turn it around2 points

This is one of the common comments about Stama that I really disagree with. It’s a two-way street. He’s had plenty of good service, only to fluff his lines or be caught on his heels. A better centre forward would also find more space and make penetrating runs that create better opportunities, allowing teammates to provide even better service.2 points

I reckon between today's game and the semi final we'll rake in north of £500K. That'll boost our coffers somewhat. Its also given us a crack at another final and cup. A good day at the office. Good to get that elusive win as well.2 points

If Carlsberg did semis....GIRU that wee goblin, send him and his team back to methadoneland with Sweet FA.1 point

I’d be hoping we get the North Stand like we did in the Aberdeen semi. At least we can get a decent view of the game rather than stuck miles away behind the goals1 point

It is definitely the best draw. Rangers and Celtic will both be playing better by November so St Mirren give us the best chance to proceed. Second semi-final in two years is fairly impressive. Beating St Johnstone away and Aberdeen away is no easy run to the semi final. On performance to date I think Motherwell go into the game as slightl favourites.1 point

Great chance to get to Hampden Hopefully we get the win , and if we are in the final I would much rather play Rangers than play Celtic right now If we lose the semi final , I will support St Mirren against either of those two Glasgow mobs . Understand why people have a dislike towards St Mirren after their antics at Fir Park last season especially but anything they have done is nothing compared to having to listen to the bile of the OF1 point
-
Speak for yourself. If St.Mirren are in the final I certainly won’t be cheering them on. If we can’t have our ‘day in the sun(even though it will be mid-winter)’ then I don’t want any non OF club to have theirs.1 point

Can you try and be positive just for once? Aye be sore one if st mirren beat us but i think we all would have wanted that draw1 point
-
Losing a Semi Final to St.Mirren can never just be shrugged off as water off a ducks back. It might not be Airdrie 1975(?) but it would still be a sore one to take.1 point

Another blow to the muppets who pedal this nonsensical conspiracy that Cup draws are fixed to keep the Old Firm apart until the Final.1 point

They will pump us 3-0 as yet again we bottle it. Just getting in ahead of MJC!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣1 point

Steady now. Let's not get carried away it was only a win over a shite Aberdeen team that hadn't scored in 5 games ..🙄1 point

Not technically true. He did stop on multiple occasions to smell his own farts.1 point

Whilst I think its extremely unlikely, what you can say is that from St Johnstone and Aberdeen in the Cup and 5 league games we have been the better team in every game. I can't remember a time where I could say that about a Motherwell team facing hard opponents.1 point

With the quality we have in the team and a little bit of luck I could see us winning the cup. The OF are as poor as I can remember and realistically no team to fear. I'm not saying it's likely but it's certainly possible and I really don't care who we get in the semi final, id rather face the OF in a semi than in a final tbh. Re needing other strikers , this is where we all see the game differently. We have more than enough forward players in our ranks. As for AP I don't think he's playing poorly, I more see a guy who's lost confidence. He did well yesterday to square it for RCC and had a very good then a very poor header. He just needs a couple of goals to get going. He also needs better service. Appreciate not everyone see's it this way but that's the beauty of football and these forums.1 point

Apart from our goal I Ioved the yellow card awarded to Kevin Nisbet. Memo to referees - more of this please! Good luck for your transplant Exile.1 point

Unlikely I think. My prediction is: Motherwell v Celtic Rangers V St Miren1 point

I don’t get why fans either refuse to throw a player in at the deep end or only wish to give them a token 10 minutes in a meaningless game. Football fans are fickle. There is a middle ground, and new players should get meaningful game time to settle in.1 point

😂😂 Me and my mate got a two hour dispensation to watch the game. If you could have seen the looks of folk when me and him jumping about the pub like 5 year olds singing "oh Motherwell, oh Motherwell is wonderful.." Perfect start, now for day two and a liver transplant tomorrow... OH MOTHERWELL, OH MOTHERWELL..... IS WONDERFUL.1 point

Unless something changes, and nothing we’ve seen suggests it will, he needs to be replaced at the first opportunity with someone who gives us a proper centre forward threat and goals.1 point

This will be the 15th game in under JBA and incredibly we’ve lost one game and that was the first friendly v Twente. hard to believe we’ve won and drawn every other game. Not that I want to get too carried away but I doubt very much any manager in our history has went 13 games without defeat. let’s hope for a win on Saturday to really kick on our league campaign.1 point

We're you at the game caller. No ,didn't even see it. We'll thanks for guessing . Good night. 😉😉1 point

I put this lady on block a year ago because I was fed up with the constant victimhood when things don't go her way. She chips away at people opinions like picking a sore and if the discussion gets to the stage where someone is giving as good as they get, and she has no answer, the tears and snotters and victim card are played with relentless monotony. So far easier for me to put on block , she could do likewise to people she doesn't like or agree with or as has been suggested, if abusive, report. But no we get the full on drama and flouncing away , no doubt to return in a couple of weeks . I would also respectfully suggest if you cannot handle other people opinions and some rather robust opinions a football fan forum is not the place to be. Anyone may call me anything they like , I might not like it , I might not agree with it but I'll forever defend your right to say it.1 point

I understand the idea of easing youngsters in but let’s not pretend this is the same situation. Miller has already racked up plenty of first team games for his age. A token 10 minutes at 3–0 down does nothing for his development and only wastes the opportunity to actually test him properly.0 points

It was that UEFA Pro Licence science keeping him out of the team until 81 mins tonight.0 points
