  1. Celtic don’t deserve Welsh. The disdain they’ve shown towards him is ridiculous, and he’ll be a huge loss for us.

  2. Fair enough from O'Neill. Welsh is their player and I can imagine he wont actually be happy going back. Been immense but attitude top class and really taken club to heart. Sane also with Balmer, always smiling and always got involved with celebrations, wish both every success but if we could get Welsh back it would be awesome

  5. Liam Morrison from QPR wanting a loan move to try and push for the Scotland squad. He’s quite young and a good prospect by all accounts. I’ve no doubt being a product of Bayern Munich that he can play.

  6. O'Neill saying there's a chance Welsh could be sent back to us if he can get players in and they have no further injuries. Sounded apologetic to Welsh, said he was enjoying himself 'immensely' here, complemented the football Motherwell have been playing, but said it's needs must. No suggestion they're punting him to anyone. Great as that would be, it puts JBA in a tricky situation, as there seems to be a will, but no guarantee.

  7. Although sad to see him return Lots of positives re Welsh . We’ve benefited from having someone better than we’d normally afford and he improved our teams results . He’s also improved his personal stock and suspect a serious contender to get game time at park head . if a bigger club was to give another loanee of similar quality for rest of the season that would be fine by me

  8. Gutted to see Welsh go, he’s been one of the best loan signings we’ve ever had at the club. But he’s a loan and it never looked like he’d be permanent unfortunately. I did wonder about this when oneill came back. rumour is we may get the Rangers boy Nsiala til the end of the season. Looks to be a footballing centre half, young and mobile. Could be a good one too for Jens to transform.

  10. You know what is bad though? He’ll have inside track on our training and tactics. Do they sign an NDA in football? [emoji2960] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. And as I keep saying, why do we think players like Watt want to leave? I know it's a short career and you need to take care of it as best you can, but the flip side for any of our players is that if they continue to succeed for the second half of the season, their personal value rises too.

  12. It has been a really special season and it has been the results in Glasgow and Edinburgh that has kept us from being in absolute dreamland. The what might have been from Hearts at Tynecastle, Celtic at Celtic Park, Rangers at Ibrox and Hibs yesterday. Small margins in games making the difference. I think now the quest for top three is over. The Celtic armageddon that latest all of three weeks is over. Rangers have found an impressive level of consistency and Hearts are now just too far ahead to reign them back in. I still believe we are at least as good as Hearts but they have been clinical in getting the job done. Strangely 5th place would almost seem anticlimactic now after some of the performances ( and consistency) this season, yet 4th will still require a herculean effort. A victory yesterday would have kept us in that top 3 fight so it seems like it has been a decisive weekend the way results have gone. Motherwell have hardly put a foot wrong this season in the league. It is a demonstration, if nothing else, of the consistency required to win a championship.

  13. If a club in the Championship down south wish to sign Watt, the price is £2m. If another Scottish club wishes to sign him, the price is £5m...

  14. Unlike most years, this year we have a team that absolutley can beat anyone in Scotland on our day. We have the tools available to actually win the cup this year. We cant take any team or any round for granted. Should be hitting this as our strongest possible side!

  15. As is so often the case with Motherwell we save our worst performances for Cup ties even when we’re on good form. I don’t see next week being any different I’m afraid. 1-1 (3-5 penalties)
