It’s Christmas Day down here so to all on Steelmen on line Merry Christmas 🎅

We won't be anywhere near the relegation or playoff places come May, people need to keep the faith, SK will turn it round. We were pish today, especially the 1st 15 mins, and Rangers never got out of 2nd gear but two wins this week could see us challenging for the Euro places. Sacking SK to bring in A new manager with new ideas team formations etc, is the last thing we need right now. Given the boardroom changes things seem to be happening at the club so we need stability and to be honest if SK was in any danger of getting pumped it would have happened weeks ago, so we need to keep the faith, we won't be relegated or involved in the playoffs so things will turn round. ( no alcohol was involved in writing this post 😀)

They have always been given the benefit of doubt, just look at some decisions in recent times, this season at Ibrox for instance Spencer was denied when through one on one for an apparent foul on Tavernier, why the ref doesn't play on then review VAR surprised me, not to mention the penalty incident in the first half. Then last season you have Cantwell feigning an elbow to the face and an incident where Leon King scythed down McKinstry when he was running through on goal plus that offside goal where the two lines were flipped on VAR but they gave them it anyway. We could probably keep rhyming off incidents, it's hard enough to play them without them getting every soft decision. It's like you compare the shirt pull penalties they have got recently to the ones other teams have been denied and it just emphasises the case. As for the game I'm hoping for a real Christmas miracle, I suspect we will need to score more than one to do it. It was refreshing last week to finally get our first clean sheet in many months. While we may not have got the results we have wanted our better performances this season have came against the much better sides. What I would do to ruin Christmas for these bigots.

Not sure what everyone was expecting today. We are playing a team that won their Europa league group and are in the last 16 of that tournament.

We haven’t won in FIFTEEN matches. We have slid down to 11th in the table. We have turned in some truly hideous performances in that time. Our manager has completely fucked his first transfer window with us. Our manager has no proven track record of being a good manager here or anywhere else. Keep the faith though, the manager clearly knows what he is doing, just two wins and we will be challenging for Europe again. It was time to get him to fuck two international breaks ago. It is an absolute joke that he’s still in his post.

This is my worry. I think the circumstances at the club in general are all wrong. In the past we've been bad, managers haven't worked out and I've always had faith we could bounce back. The club, in general, was well-run and I had faith in those who were tasked with turning things around. We don't have a full-time CEO, and there are important members of the team that run the club stepping down. Any potential manager is going to be taking the above into account. They have to.

Kettlewell is the best manager we have had recently, look at the constraints he has had to work with trying to address the disaster that was Alexander and Hammell, reducing the playing squad in numbers and quality and expected to produce a top 6 team lets get real if we finish 10th that will do us this year. The Club is a shambles the fan ownership has failed and as stated a new funding model has to be found to address our playing budget. Only then we may find us with better players.

I think we're about out returnees, player wise. I can't think of anyone we'd want to bring back and who would realistically come back. We gave it a go with Moult and it didn't work. Good luck to him, though he seems to be struggling after a good start in the Championship. By god, we could do with an Allan Campbell right now, but that really is just dreaming. The idea that we should be begging Stephen Robinson to come back as manager, as was suggested on here earlier, is obviously a non starter, for several reasons. The folk who are there now - or the ones who will be coming in - are the folk who will save us or not. I hope someone at Fir Park knows what the right move is.

Here's the rub, Rangers will always have technically better players than we do but off the ball where it's more about work rate, concentration etc Rangers are also much better. But given that Obika has scored a goal amd both Bair and Shave have assists in the last few weeks, Im not even sure that argument holds up. By all means argue that his signings are not of the quality required to have us climb the league. But you cant argue that none of them have contributed. Biereth has 6 goals in 10 games!
