  1. For the reasons you just gave--there were plenty of circumstantial evidence as to what group of people was responsible, so they suspended the lot of them pending further enquires. But it's one thing having some idea about what group is responsible, and another proving individual liability.
  2. I don't even understand how their model works -- I could read it fine and I haven't paid for anything, but other times I can't.
  3. Up to now at least, my renewal has been due 12 months after joining date. (Which was beginning of March in my case, IIRC.)
  4. Let's hope not, or McCall and McManus will probably also be in the frame for criticising him for allowing the equaliser to stand.
  5. BBC stats say 17 shots to our 7, though the on-target shots are closer: 5 to our 3. They also had more possession than us, and 6 corners to our 1. I'd certainly be disappointed if those stats were in our favour and we'd taken less than a point.
  6. Not today, but there was one delightful moment in the first half captured perfectly on Alba when he beat about four Aberdeen players by the power of shimmy alone. Great to see him doing that sort of stuff again.
  7. Kerr's injury plus 30 seconds per sub, I suppose.
  8. Looked like a hedgehog in the picture I saw...
  9. When is the law ever applied equally? Determining who should be punished and how for any offence always comes down to the personal biases and risk assessments of somebody or other eventually, so some folk will always get treated more harshly than you or I might like, and others more leniently.
  10. I do love watching old footage from Fir Park, not least because if you ignore all the empty seats these days, it pretty much still looks exactly the same on the telly now as it did 40+ years ago.
  11. Aye you're right, I meant Champions League of course!
  12. If nothing else, "Qualified for Europa League Champions League for first time ever" should certainly be on there. I'm not sure there's much else to write home about regarding McCall's European record, mind you...

    Up For It!

Same here (apart from having 2 kids)... mind you, my wife maintains a Level 42 gig in Glasgow and the day she met Midge Ure were the two best days of hers, so I'm no sure who should be more upset

    Up For It!

Much prefer a win over Rangers to a win over Celtic myself, if only because it happens so much more rarely.
  15. True. He did have a Scottish Championship medal and a goal or two in the European Cup to his name by the time he joined us mind you... probably not many (any?) before or since can say that!
  16. They have. And as somebody with your username should know, John Reilly has pretty much exactly the same strike rate in Motherwell colours as Stevie Cowan
  17. And I'm sure if we got even half the TV revenues that either German or Australian clubs do, we'd be more than happy to pay for the same.
  18. Seems to be still doing the business at Perth Glory too, at the ripe old age of 34... http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/perthglory/players/Steven-McGarry/1884
  19. As long as they catch up and deal with anyone who's needing caught up and dealt with for anything they did that day, I can't say I'm personally all that fussed what order they do it in.
  20. John Reilly scored 12 goals in 56 appearances. Not exactly Higgy-esque statistics and he could be as frustrating as hell, but just occasionally he'd score a belter and he was by no means the worst striker we've ever had -- looking at the same era, his strike rate was pretty much identical to Stevie Cowan's (11 in 51) and Andy Walker's (17 in 77), in fact.
  21. And never even started for the first team, making only 3 sub appearances. Hardly worthy of consideration here, surely.
  22. He now does that kind of show on BT Sport with Danny Kelly instead, so it's a bit like Under The Moon used to be on Channel 4 too.
  23. Most of it just comes with the territory for provincial clubs, I'd say. Most journos work in cities, so inevitably it's that bit easier them to focus on the clubs in those cities. It probably doesn't help that with one domestic exception, Motherwell haven't actually achieved much on the park in many of our lifetimes that anyone other than ourselves will still be talking about in another 20 or 30 years time. Whatever you think about them still banging on about it, Aberdeen and Dundee United really were among the best teams in Europe for a while when many of us were growing up in the 80s, so even now they're just going to get a bit more favourable attention on that basis.
  24. Was wondering that myself. Folk all over Twitter this morning saying how we should be facing fines by now as our "pitch is a disgrace" and we're "always" having games called off, but I'm not sure we've had more than maybe one weather-related postponement in the past couple of years.
