I *hope* that's not the case, but I still wouldn't be surprised if we only sign another two players. Personally I don't consider a goalie to be a major priority, but I know others don't share that view
-
Nae chance we'll see another five signings. Three if we're lucky, more likely two at best, I'd guess. (Though I don't include Faddy in that, if he does decide to re-sign.)
-
Doesn't surprise me at all… guess he realised that short term gain isn't necessarily better than longer term stability after all.
-
I'm sure he's crying all the way to the bank...

McCall says Hateley and Higdon are "out the door, ex-players": http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23082470

Quotes from Kenny Black don't always turn out to be terribly accurate, I have to say.

Well, if they wanted to keep it really simple, the cut-off point could be "lives outside Scotland" (yes, I know there are plenty of fans in Scotland who live too far from FP to pick stuff up too, but what the heck--most of them probably still have some chance to use some of the other benefits that are no use at all to those of us overseas). But even if they just had a policy of assuming that they need to send whatever-it-is this time because it needed sending last time, until you let them know otherwise, it would be an improvement. I'd even be happy to pay an optional bit extra on my subscription to cover some or all of the postage costs. Downloads would be great for us, but probably not all that practical for the club. Hosting large downloads anywhere decent would incur additional costs of its own, and they'd have to set up out some sort of nominal protection scheme so that only 'Well Society members could download it.
-
I don't think anyone would say that's unreasonable, but given that they know where we all live, it's a bit of a pain for those of us who aren't local to have to get in touch with them *every* time to make special arrangements for things like this.

Much as I was gutted to see Lambert leave, I was more traumatised by Number 6 on the list at the time.

I'm guessing it's something to do with this: http://www.wishawpress.co.uk/wishaw-news/local-wishaw-news/wishaw-news/2011/05/11/latest-score-goals-initiative-reaches-conclusion-76495-28667533/

All the more reason to take our time and make sure we're bringing in people who are likely to play well together, surely? (Hence the wisdom in bringing in two guys who played together last season.) If we just had to replace one or two we could take a bit more of a punt on somebody as it wouldn't be the end of the world if they were mediocre.
-
Not that it has any bearing on the transfer chat, but since we're talking about Hateley here at the moment: Gordon Strachan admits shock attempt to cap Motherwell star Tom Hateley.

D'oh, yes, sorry -- was trying to agree with steelboy and got confused

that was how it was explained at the meeting i attended in the cooper suite but if you read the rules on the club website it says you can be expelled for non payment. One of the items being voted on at the upcoming meeting is whether to delete "Rule 20 (a): A member shall cease to be a member if they fail after written demand to pay their annual subscription." That suggests to me that they can't currently chuck you out if you don't pay. EDIT: CAN chuck you out, of course, not "can't".
-
Doesn't strike my as either, really, just a stock quote from the school of lazy journalism where "still hasn't re-signed" = "probably leaving then". EDIT: Oh, never mind, I see the bit you've underlined now that I've read your post in my browser rather than just in my email

'Flow did say on Twitter this morning that it was going to be a busy day…
-
Brain tumour, IIRC.
-
Rumour was that Poznan were offering add-ons as part of the deal; if Warsaw are doing the same, we may not know for quite a while exactly how much we end up bringing in for him.
-
Faddy too. Wouldn't actually be surprised if Hateley was the only one who ended up staying, but certainly entirely possible that none of them will.
-
And also injured, which is why Hammy got called up in the first place Obviously he's not going to become a regular, but as a last-minute replacement he makes a lot of sense. Aside from being a natural leftie, McGhee and McCall both know him and his strengths and weaknesses well.
-
Presumably the complete site revamp 'Flow mentioned a couple of posts back will be addressing that. If not, you're right -- time to find a different web design company with a better CMS.

Can't imagine they'd stop selling them first week of the season, so you should be fine. If you want the early bird discount, you can apparently just phone them before this Friday 4.30pm to reserve at the discount price when you do buy, though whether they'd hold it for you right through to August at that price I dunno.
-
I dunno if he has or not, to be honest. He said during his twitter meltdown episode that he'd signed a pre-contract, and a couple of folks on the Killie forum picked that up, but I've never seen anything official anywhere.
-
I like your steelworks modification (the original never did fit that space very well), and a more modern-looking font isn't a bad idea either, though pick the wrong one and it'll date quicker than you'd like. But to be honest, the rest of it still looks fine the way it is to me… the extra detail on your fir trees just makes them look a bit fuzzy, and I always did like the black and white hexagonal/pentagonal panel footballs best

I guess for an 'exiles-only' scheme they could use IP detection to only allow the exile member accounts to log in from outside the UK. That's not perfect either of course--could be worked around with proxies, and folk in England, Wales and NI could rightly claim they were missing out despite being 'exiles' too. And if they didn't already have any geo-detection code in place, I doubt they'd want to add it just for us. Simplest solution, perhaps, would just be to allow members to choose their benefits when they join or renew. Either you choose the 'local' package with discounts on tickets etc., or you choose the 'exiles' package with MFC TV membership. Though that would require a little extra admin of course, which doesn't strike me as the Society's strong point so far.
