One fly in the ointment could be the Dundee Rangers game being off this midweek which going by the weather forecast is a distinct possibility. It would leave us in a bit of limbo for a few more days, especially if we beat Hibs and Aberdeen beat Dundee. Hopefully it goes ahead and we know whether it's top or bottom 6 by 5pm on Saturday.

It's no secret that the WS board would prefer to retain 51% of the shares but they're also not stupid enough to reject any offer of inward investment out of hand before hearing what it is. That offer will eventually be put to the members and it will be up to us to decide what we vote for, not any one individual The various WS board members will no doubt have their own individual views the same as us but I'm sure any recommendations they put forward will have the best interests of the club at heart. I'd also expect some kind of open forums where people can ask questions and express their views prior to any vote.
-
Nope They voted in principle to listen to what the investor had to offer and not reject anything out of hand. The vote wasn't to give up the majority shareholding.
-
They might have had in the past and rightly so but with the election of the new WS board members, what I know of them and what I've heard so far convinces me that we've now got good people on board and they have finally got their act together. One of the board members Jay has posted several insights on P&B to what has been happening behind the scenes so well worth a look. They're actual facts straight from the horses mouth and not some of the pish being spouted on here by a certain person. All the rumours and conspiracy theories being banded about on here are just that, and NOTHING will happen without the agreement of the WS members who will all be privy to what final offer (if any) is on the table before being asked to vote on whether to accept it or not. I doubt anything that doesn't guarantee the WS retaining 51% would succeed unless it was something absolutely spectacular akin to a Euromillions win. I for one would laugh the "rumoured" 1.5m offer for 51% out of the park and so would anyone else in their right mind.

Another day another rumour.🙄 Let's wait until we see whatever's on offer in black and white eh?
-
He's already had some informal discussions with the Well Society board and I believe more are planned as things develop. Jay gave an update over on P&B a few days ago.

Very true but for all we know maybe he tried to sign another centre half in January but it was just that none were available, we'll probably never know. My memory isn't as good as it was but I don't remember him being particularly shite at crosses in his first season with us but maybe he was?
-
Going on his performances this year I dont see many "bigger" teams desperate to sign him so he might end up having to take a pay cut regardless. Whether that would be with us or another team is another question but probably best for him to move on to pastures new and try to rediscover his early form.

That 90mins probably summed up our whole season. A complete roller coaster of a ride going through every emotion under the sun from despair to elation. Currently enjoying a pint with some Dundee and Dundee Utd fans in Dundee city centre and what they're saying about their teams could be lifted straight from our forum. One thing I've learned from today is never to post anything during a game because it will inevitably come back and bite you on the arse. MJC Yodo and Steelboy take noteðŸ«

My guess is going by what the Dundee fans are saying that the pitch is currently borderline and with the rain off and strong winds theyre hoping that will be enough to dry the pitch out before 1pm. If it works(optimistic)then game on if not there's going to be a lot of heavy flak going their way. As usual it's the fans who are the losers. Edit to add Just saw a video on P&B of the referee trying to bounce a ball on something resembling a beach. Can see why he wants another inspection before making a c**t of himself.
-
Aye but was it raining.
-
Strikes me as someone who won't be taking any prisoners when it comes to standing up for what he thinks is best for the club and its fans.
-
Quite a good interview. Don't imagine he's the type to take many prisoners by the sounds of him.
-
Should have said in a normal season. Note to self. Engage brain before mouth.
-
I meant other than that (should have been clearer)🙃

Don't think anyone's excited per se, more curious than anything and the fact that he has an interest in football and seems to be reasonably well off with good connections makes the proposal a bit more interesting than some random who knows nothing about the game. As always the devil's in the detail and I'll reserve judgement until that becomes clearer.
-
Can anyone remember an SPL League game ever being played behind closed doors. I certainly can't.
-
Busta over on P&B has given a full blown breakdown of him. Can't be arsed copying but well worth a read and explains where his interest in football comes from.
-
Aye it will be interesting to find out what his motives behind the offer are. Doesn't appear to have any sporting interests in his past that you can find online so maybe you're on the right track with a media angle. Would like a swatch at the contacts on his phone, Hollywood's elite no doubt.

There's a big difference between having cash flow problems and looking for inward investment. And there's nothing illegal in what McMahon did so chill oot and wait to see whats actually being offered.
-
Dundee forums saying there's a cat in hells chance of it being on. Ground is already saturated and standing water all over and more rain forecast for the rest of the week.

Think about it logically mate. Unless someone has been smuggling sackfulls of cash out the back door everything is transacted through bank accounts which requires a minimum of 2 authorisations for cheques and electronic transactions, but more likely 3 and 2 of them would be board members so virtually impossible to hide money trails unless they were all in on some kind of scam which seems to be the basis of the rumours on your fan forums. Amazing how many wannabe accountants there are on them. Maybe if your club didn't spend as much of your turnover on player salaries then you wouldn't have made the losses you have and try to point the finger and sully a guys reputation. Have a look at Kieran Maguire on X who gives a good insight into your clubs accounts.
-
I'd like to think he'll be one that Kettlewell wants to keep but wouldn't be surprised if he's on the radar of some of the lower league teams.
-
Mate was down at the game (Auchinleck fan) and said he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park. Far too good for that level but appreciate its the only place he could go out on loan. Hopefully he pushes on to at least be a regular on our bench next season or even a starter .
-
Think it expires at the end of this season. Imagine he won't be short of offers.
