I was surprised he didn't mention the recent attempts to improve fan participation. The appointment of the fan liason officers and the Well Society asking fans for ideas on how to improve things within the club was worth a mention. To me that indicates that the club recognised the issues and are at least trying to improve things.

I'd guess the Board is probably in the same position as the fans, ie a third would punt him tomorrow, a third would give him the benefit of doubt and see how things pan out and the remaining third just don't know what to do.

The shout of the season for me last year by a guy close by was "Van Veen, all you can do is score goals" after he didn't run 30 yards to close down a defender. Kinda sums up some of our support though.
