  1. Going by that none of the new guys with the exception of Lawless are injured then, just not match fit yet presumably. GA will have a squad of about 30 to pick from in March/April by the looks of it.
  2. I've watched them a few times recently and like you say, they play the way I would like us to play in that they are solid back to middle, give little away and are set up to be hard to beat. That is why we need to match them in the middle of the park. Offensively they don't worry me as much but if we let them get the first goal they will be hard to break down. Saying that its in our own hands and if we don't get a reaction to yesterdays debacle then I'm not sure what will motivate this set of players. Hopefully it was just one of those days and we get back to the way we were playing prior to this game.
  3. Having watched the St Johnstone v Celtic game earlier I have the fear for this game. Saints midfield look really strong and we need to match them in there otherwise we could be looking at a re-run of the Accies game. They will shit fest it and we need to be up for the physical challenge and I just hope we get a response from the players. I would even go as far as to consider a 4 5 1 as we really need to take something from this game. I would quite happily take a borefest 0 0 after yesterday.
  4. Playing 4 3 3 against Accies was always a no no for me. We all know how they set up so to give territorial advantage to them in the middle of the park was always a recipe for disaster. Not saying 4 3 3 doesn't work for us just not against Accies as it plays right into their hands.
  5. Ah well the new manager bounce was good while it lasted
  6. Well everyone really, but I think Rice will have identified Tony as our main threat so will single him out for some "extra special" attention but as GA says play our own game and let the opposition worry about us. Accies supporting mate reckons they're not too hot at high balls into the penalty area.
  7. One things for sure, Tony Watt had better look out his extra reinforced shin pads
  8. Same here. Lamie's taken some amount of stick but since hes been played in his natural position and got some consistency hes improved immensely and I never thought I would be saying that a few games ago. Shame hes still getting stick from some though despite playing well tonight. Big Bevis was immense as well and if you could vote for 2 players that would be mine
  9. The look of disbelief on Tommy Wrights face at full time was a joy to behold
  10. Takes me back to the Dick Turpin game GIRUY Killie
  11. Never had any doubt about our resilience tbf just need a wee bit more quality in midfield
  12. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you're right. We've had the 2 best chances in the game despite being pish so who knows.
  13. The defence is getting absolutely no protection from our midfield
  14. I'd get O'Hara into midfield this game is too physical for Crawford
  15. Outnumbered in midfield yet again. Getting to be a bit of a habit.
  16. Looks like big Devante isn't getting cited so same front 3
  17. Polworth would be my guess if that's actual fact
  18. Said earlier that Lamie played in his natural position is no a bad player. One wee slip in the first half apart he was excellent
  19. Strange that we have a bad first half against County then a good second then reverse it against Utd. Maybe well get a full 90 mins soon.
  20. TBF to Lamie he was signed as a CB and from memory I think this will be the first time he's played in his natural position rather than as an improvised LB. He might actually turn out to be no bad
  21. GA was described to me by someone in the know as an iron fist in a velvet glove so yeah I don't think he will take any snash. Training schedules changed with double training sessions now also a norm apparently. Certainly putting his own personal stamp on things.
  22. Considering the present board have successfully negotiated us out of probably the 2nd worse financial position in the clubs history I've got enough confidence in them that they know what they're doing.
  23. Pretty sure I read somewhere that GA knew Foley from his time down south (although I could have just have imagined it)
