  1. Agreed that there wasn’t much between the teams until the 1st goal but Boyle didn’t even have to use his pace against us as there’s was no one near him half the time and he had all the space in the world on the left flank which is a common denominator in most of our games these days. Hibs changed their shape and we didn’t (or couldn’t) respond and paid the price not for the first time this season
  2. No urgency, poor tackling, giving the ball away cheaply and getting caught in possession continuously. At least we’re not getting beat
  3. Definitely missed wee Alan in the engine room today

    Big Dec

Of course from big Decs perspective the interest in him has stemmed mostly from his Scotland performances and with no more games for quite a while he might think that it’s best to strike while the iron is hot as anything could happen form or injury wise between now and when his contract ends. Would love to see him stay for the rest of the season though even if it means getting nought for him.
  5. Or more likely time to make up a believable cover story for the Sun and Daily Record
  6. Yep The whole team needs to be on top of their game for the full 90 mins even then you need the rub of the green which we haven’t had much of against them recently
  7. Our biggest problem against the old firm is we don’t (or can’t) compete for the whole 90 mins. We look good in parts but seldom do it for the whole game which is what is needed if you’re ever going to get a result against them.
  8. No surprises but at least we didn’t just lie down against them and created some good chances which is better than the usual nil shots at goal Dont feel as bad after this game as I usually do
  9. For fairness I think it would have to be a case of all or nothing for letting fans back in. It would be unfair, if for instance, Aberdeen got some fans back and the advantages that would bring and we didn’t simply because of our geographical location
  10. We should just play anyone who is over 6 feet and 15 stone of solid muscle.
  11. Looks like he was caught by the diving wee bastard on the right
  12. Rumours are its Grimmy but cant see how that fits with the rest of the squad not needing to isolate
  13. You could well be right there with the timeline If one of them had come into contact with Stuart Armstrong in the Scotland camp? We’ll find out tomorrow I suppose.
  14. Someone over on P&B saying that St Mirrens park is being used for delivering flu jabs although the players apparently don’t go near it except on match days.
  15. If that’s the Hamilton one then very probably. It’s like a street party every night down there
  16. Does anyone actually know what protocols have been put in place by the SPFL that the teams must follow. Im thinking in terms of how many players are allowed to be part of a “bubble” so that any spread can be more effectively controlled as it seems that is where the controversy over the cancellation is stemming from.
  17. I’m just wondering if there would have been as much controversy over this if the game had been called on the Friday. The lateness of the call off is what seems to be causing the conspiracy theories all over social media. I take the view that we might have dodged a bullet here in that at least none of our players were put at risk. Imagine if we had lost the game then heard next week that half the squad had tested positive going into 2 very winnable games and having to play vastly weakened teams. I would like to think that if St Mirren have taken the piss it will all come out in the wash and action taken but I won’t hold my breath.
  18. Probably not but he can also play at the back. Point is though he’s not getting a sniff with us however is highly rated by Scotland but maybe not as highly by Robbo (who tbf sees him every day). Maybe we just have an embarrassment of riches.
  19. If he’s good enough to play for Scotland surely to feck he’s good enough for Motherwell

Both looked really comfortable in that formation. Robbo please take note
  21. 20% of those who tested positive and were contacted by tracers according to Govt figures although I believe it has now gone up to 23%
  22. The reason the Govt know those figures is because track and trace is working in those circumstances. It’s the punters who cause the problems by giving false contact details so they could potentially be wandering about spreading the virus without even knowing they’ve been in contact with someone in the pub at the same time who has tested positive and might even be positive themselves Those are likely the same ones who don’t wear masks in shops and go to house parties every week. Its virtually impossible to prove whether someone has caught the virus through contact sports. The affected Accies/Killie/St Mirren players could have caught it in a shop or restaurant just as easily as at a training session All any Govt can do is try and stop people meeting in large numbers to slow down the spread and unfortunately for us football falls into that category. Anyway hope our 2 guys haven’t been anywhere near Stuart Armstrong.
  23. Because going for your messages is an essential journey, going to a football match isn’t
  24. Contact tracing has established that approx 1 in 5 people or 20% who tested positive had been in a cafe/bar/restaurant in the 14 days prior to being tested so think the 5% figure infection rate from those type of premises might be vastly underestimated.
