The only thing that worried me today was the amount of times their wide players got the ball with our full backs nowhere near them.

I’ve long thought that the compliance procedure should be taken out of the hands of the SFA because of this bias. Get someone from the English FA or similar to review any incidents and pay them for an unbiased view instead of employing someone full time at Hampden who shits himself anytime Rangers or Celtic are involved because of the flak he’ll get from the media.

Funnily enough Off the ball yesterday had an agent (can’t remember who)on and he was asked if Turnbulls agent should advise him to sign a contract extension when it surely wouldn’t be in the agents best interests and make it harder to get him a move. His reply was that having a longer contract will push the players resale value up and makes the agent more commission as most are on a % of the transfer fee Never thought of it in that context before as I always assumed the less a club had to pay in transfer fees the more the agent would get.

I would settle for a big physical front man who can actually hold the ball up. He doesn’t even have to score 20 goals a season.

Hes doing what every young player aspiring to make it in the game should copy. Fight your way into the team, find consistency, keep your head down and learn your trade, then when a big move comes up you've got the background and experience of a long run in a decent team which makes the step up that much easier and less chance of failing at a higher level as has happened with so many young players thinking they are better than they are. Plus hes a thoroughly nice young guy with no delusions of grandeur
