Ok so now we have the 1st win of the season sorted its on to Celtic on Sunday, I honestly can't see anything other than a defeat, so I hope I am wrong. I might check the odds on DT scoring for Celtic as I think its a certainty if he plays, thoughts please.
-
Bala Town or B36 Torshaven would do for me, if it is regionalised then Coleraine will be in there as well, and given there result tonight I hope weavoid them.
-
I see Dinamo Minsk are out beaten 2-0 were they not one of the teams we needed to go out to get us seeded for Q3 if we win, who were the other teams?
-
Not very often you will hear the following on this forum but Steelboy was right, the non Scottish players don't give a rats arse about the 300 odd years of bigoted rivalry between the ugly sisters. The players you mentioned were only ever at Rangers because they were being paid ridiculous wages every week, that were not on offer anywhere else, and tbe same applies to tbe likes of Sutton, wanyama and van Djyk at Celtic Only the Rangers and Celtic fans care about 10 in a row and the bragging rights it brings the rest of world football could not care less.
-
Agreed they are a part time side that finished 5th in the NI league so we should be massive favourites, but this was the same story when we played Llanelli and Albion rovers, so a good professional attitude is required from the start. we have better players so I fully expect a comfortable win and a place in the 3rd round draw on Tuesday
-
Suspect its Nothing to do with him getting injured and more to do with Celtic having him available for the europa league when they inevitably get dumped out of the champions league.
-
If and its a big if, SR moves on or is shown the door I only hope we conduct a proper recruitment process and steer well clear of the the useless has beens like Tommy Wright or unproven guys like Lasley. We have been utter garbage since January but it is very early in the season and SR has earned the right to try to get us back on track, so the Glentoran game is critical lose it and SR is gone, if as expected we win that could kick us on to start winning again, so to paraphrase corporal Jones from Dads Army and Oasis "don't panic,,,least not today"

At the end of tbe day you could play like Bayern Munich for 89 mins and then lose a late goal, so great play lots of possession etc etc is feckin irrelevant if you don't score goals. The stats will show we were beaten, no wee footnote telling people how unlucky we were etc so the team that wins the game is the better one .
-
Pish the only stat that matters is who scored the most goals, so going by that Accies were the better team they won
-
Lasley 100% to blame for that shambles, giving away 3 pens over 2 games, no excuse for that the fame should have been sorted at Fir Park
-
All seated,, close to the pitch (grass only), fully enclosed ( Like Almondvale), good facilities, car parking close by, proper WiFi coverage in the stadium, that would be my wish list for a new stadium, oh and a successful team to play in it.

£2 million is loose change down the sofa for a club like QPR to sign a squad player like Dykes, but if we manage to get at least that as a minimum for Turnbull it will be a very good bit of business. The club is in a good position ie we don't really need to sell unless its an offer we can't refuse so if its not we tell Celtic to jog on and we get to see his talents for the full season.

Not in this life Uefa don't run football at the European level anymore, the TV companies do, they dictate the format. And the elite clubs who benefit most from TV are in full agreement and nobody give a damm about the smaller clubs.
-
Watch the highlights, with both eyes open this time, you will see he did
-
Ok then enlighten us then why you think an attacking player standing half a yard offside right in front of the keeper who makes a deliberate attempt to play the ball when it comes in, should not be flagged offside. Which rules are we not interpreting correctly?
-
From your previous post clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent He flicks his leg out to try to play the ball from an offside position, no VAR required for this one he was offside.
-
Just watched the highlights Seedorf flicks his leg out at the ball as the shot comes in, so he made an attempt to play the ball, from an offside position decision was 100% correct.
-
Same for me, 1st ppv match last night and the stream and commentary were OK, even managed to get my phone talking to the TV so I could watch it on the big screen, all in not bad value for £12.
-
nah can't be bothered listening to your shite so fill your boots its a free hit for you.
-
Behave no they weren't the were just as pish as us, Carson had one save to make all game and gifted them tbe equaliser, it was 94 mins of utter feckin dross from both teams.
-
Good piece about Sieb Dijkstra and his time at Fir park on the BBC site https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53040182
-
We start in Q1, along with Aberdeen, Rangers start in Q2
-
Agreed , We will pump either one of them to be honest, Glentoran, 5th place finish in the league last year and ranked 421 out of 423 team in uefa and Torshavn, 3rd best in the Faroe Islands ffs, we have already beaten them 7-1 on aggregate in 1994 and its a fair bet they have not improved since then. This is a good starter for us, home tie against probably the lowest ranked teams we could have got, whats not to like
-
Home tie against Glentoran or torshaven, that will do for me
-
We have been shocked by welsh and Icelandic teams before but let's be honest we have better players than all of those sides and if we turn up with the right attitude we will be too strong for all of them. So now I have jinxed it feel free to copy and remind me of this post if we are out of Europe by 28/8
