For me it has to be Fitzpatricks goal against Hearts at Easter Rd to get us into the league cup final what a celebration that was. number 2 would be skippy sunday did not mean much to us but for pure gitruy factor it was priceless
-
Was going to vote for Skippy thought he was excellent but decided on Laing, I thought he had a great game at right back, looked comfortable all game never in any danger

Yes people often sit in a different seat to their allocated one I do but I am still sitting down so no problems, your quote re the sweeties ridiculous, and your issue is not an extension of those, your issue is taking exception at being told not to do something on several occasions and continuing to do it and then trying to justify your actions as correct and that you are somehow being unfairly treated by the stewards. If it had been a police officer that told you to get behind the line / sit down etc would you have taken the same stance, probably not. Personally I don't want to stand at matches anymore but I have no problem with it if the club was allowed to open a dedicated standing area, then those who wanted to could go there, but until the current legislation and the SFA rules etc change we have to live with all seated stadiums so no standing is allowed. Your reference to The game at McDiarmid park on Sat just means that the StJ FC stewards are obviously not doing there jobs. Did you never stop to think that after the recent publicity the Motherwell has had re stewarding, fan behaviour etc that the club may be enforcing the rules a bit more rigorously to demonstrate that there are no issues at the club, remember we have the 18 month suspended sentence hanging over us. There are many ways to voice your opinions re Standing at matches, write to the club, the SFA, your MP or anybody who will listen, start an online petition etc, etc but winding up the stewards by failing to comply with their directions on more than 1 occasion is not a good approach, all that will get you is huckled out of the ground.
-
That's why we have all seated stadiums so you can sit down and don't need to stand up, then there would be no issues with yellow lines etc and you would not have missed Kilmarnocks winning goal.
-
No fan club, just me failing to see the point of the thread, why not let him do the job he is paid for and if and when he does something that warrants praise or makes a complete James Hunt of something then we can discuss the merits of it on here, at least then we would have a definite issue to comment on.
-
You are desperately trying to make a story from nothing, but carry on if it keeps you occupied, the rest of us will worry about the real issues i.e. how McGhee can get the team to concentrate right up to the final whistle in matches and trying to avoid the playoffs
-
I will be absolutely astonished if you post anything positive for the rest of the season, or next season etc.
-
Pish we have 11 games left 33 points up for grabs we can still catch anybody in the league above us up to and including Hearts. From 3rd to 11th none of the 9 teams have been able to string 2 or 3 decent results together recently so its far from over for any of them, well naybe Hearts but you can perm any 1 from 8 for finishing 11th.
-
people need to get a grip ffs yes we keep throwing away late goals and losing points but look at the table any team from 5th to 11th could be in that playoff spot its going to go right to the split so we are no more favourites to end up 11th than Ross county or St J are. Not 1 of the 8 teams involved is stringing together any sort of a run just now so we need to pick up points where we can
-
you could not make this pish up thats 6 points lost in injury time in the last 8 games. If we could see games out we would be 5th in the league on 35 pts only 9 off 3rd ffs. we dont help ourselves a bit more feckin concentration and effort and we could be safe in the top 6 allthe good work from midweek feckin wasted.
-
Totally agree I though he would be a good addition to the squad and i have only seen him against Killie but he was dire, you begin to see why Hearts were keen to sign Cowie and punt Gomis on loan.
-
Is this inside info straight from the coaching staff or just made up random pish source please.
-
I think round about the 40 to 45 point mark has always been good enough to avoid the drop/playoff spot so i agree another 5 or 6 wins should see us safe, 6 from 13 is achievable but we need to start tomorrow.
-
Minority of 2 I think he was the right man for the job as well and I am still confident that he will get the team winning again. The problem is that there are certain fans harbouring issues with McGhee over what he allegedly did or did not do 8 years ago they need to let it go ffs its not healthy behaviour.
-
Are you Milo in disguise, there are 13 games to go ffs people need to get a grip we are in a bad run of form its not a crisis yet
-
I was assuming that on their current form a 12 point gap is too much to make up granted it could be down to 9 on Tuesday but i still think they will finish bottom they have shown no signs of stringing together the 4 or 5 wins in a row they need to get back into the pack.
-
I dont think its a coincidence that Ainsworth has had umpteen different clubs so far in his career his work ethic is attrocious at times. The odd game here and there he looks up for it but most of the time he doesnt,he very rarely if ever tracks back to help the defence and he seems to have developed a great skill for being anonymous in games. So if he can be bothered yes he is a potent attacking threat but if not which seems to be the norm these days then he is no use to the team at all.
-
In my opinion yes there is, Rangers and Hibs are probably SPL standard but Falkirk, Qos, Raith and Morton are not every one of the current bottom 6 Premiership teams ( yes including Morherwell) are better teams. So if you add in St Mirren and probably Dunfermline coming up from league 1 then i would be confident of beating all of them. Whoever joins Dundee untd in going down from the premiership will be favourites for the title next year and probably both teams coming straight back up. So as much as i dont want it to happen i dont think it would be the disaster many people think it would be.
-
Relegation would be bad but not a disaster if the board kept faith with the team with some additional investment to replace 3 or 4 players then we would be good enough to get straight back up. Remember it would be a championship without Rangers and probably Hibs, clubs like Falkirk Dunfermline Raith rovers and the like have all been out of the top division for a long time because the championship is their level and we are a much better team than most of that league. So while i dont want it to happen it would not be a disaster.
-
I think the squad we have has the potential to put us higher up the league than we are at present but there are a few of them who dont seem to be trying and week in week out look as though they cant be bothered. Ainsworth and Pearson are the worst offenders IMO, McDonald and Johnson have had their moments but they are not consistent enough, Gomis hs only been here a couple of weeks but after yesterday it already looks like he wants to be somewhere else. There will need to be a radical clean out in the summer as we cant afford another season of half arsed performances.
-
No surprise here then another negative doom and gloom post you must be loving this run of bad form we are on. Try some positive thinking you might like it
-
Cadden for me he was the only positive today always trying to get forward and wanting to win the ball. A good mention for Law thought he done ok as well, as for the rest of them utter pish especially the midfield trio Pearson Gomis And Ainsworth who took pishness and non trying to new levels.
-
Dont care how we play as long as we score 1 more goal than untd we need a win to stop the rot.
-
Why does it matter who recomended him its not as if he did not have the experience for the job ? Thats what board members should do identify potential candidates etc not sure what point you are trying to make.
