  1. Not this time the Record online is reporting on it http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/motherwell-fans-club-pay-touching-7590402#gYSzMZQkfdBZDjz7.97
  2. There are many people who have serious concerns about how the WS seems to be administered, lets be honest since the outset it has been a shambles. The WS members will be the club owners so its not unreasonable for them to expect regular and relevant updates/communications on how the club is doing, how much money the Ws has, how its being invested and used, etc etc. The " fans need to step up " has been a well used phrase recently but the people running the WS need to do the same, they need to get more professional and convince existing and potential members that they know what they are doing, then they might have a chance to meet their targets. Their record so far has not been good how they act from now will make or break them and the WS.
  3. I was basing the post on member paying at least £10 per month as per the quoted average payment, but i take your point though. I really dont think the money is the issue unless you are on a really tight budget, the problem is the lack of people wanting to commit to the club/WS on a regular basis.
  4. According to the article below the annual income target for the WS from members seems to be 240k, currently they seem to be receiving about 96k a year from the 1600 members the WS has so either the existing members need to double their contributions or we need at least another 1500 or so members to get anywhere near the target figure. Granted the figures may have been revised but it seems obvious that either existing members need to contribute more or the WS needs significantly more paying members than it currently has to give it a decent chance to succeed. The question is does Motherwell have another 1 to 1.5k supporters out there willig to commit to the WS i dont think we have.http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35838545
  5. I know that I was referring to the number of members the WS currently has and making the point that the revenue generated by them won't provide a decent buffer for the lean times, another 3 or 4 thousand paying members and it would be fit for purpose, but as I said given our fanbase that won't happen.
  6. I was up at the game in Dingwall and we had approx 150 at most 200 fans, there might have been slightly more county fans at Fir park but to be honest i think the numbers were pretty similar.

Its 1-1 at the moment, good result if it stays that way
  8. The whole fan ownership concept and hence the WS has been an ill thought out, badly communicated, implemented and administered shambles since Leeanne Dempster 1st floated the idea it wad a non starter from day 1. Now we are at the point where Les Hutchison appears to have got bored and bailed out and left the WS to it, does anybody really think that as owners they can run the club sucessfully i dont they give me the fear big time. Do they have a business plan to take the club forward, get fans back to games, maximise reveues etc because 1200 or so monthly direct debits just wont cut it. Certain clubs could make a go of fan ownership but in the premiership we are not one of them, even Hearts with 10k plus members needs additional investment from wealthy individuals to make it feasible. If we were an Albion rovers or a Clyde then the number of members we have could work but does anybody honestly think that on the members the WS has that we can maintain our status as a top club in Scotland i dont and i fear that unless we get some wealthy individual or consortium onboard to buy LH's shares then we will become a league 1 or 2 side very quickly assuming we survive at all. The concept of fan ownership is a good one and if it had been planned and implemented correctly who knows it might have been feasible but where we are now is not good and i fear for the future if we dont get another Hutchison or Boyle onboard quickly.
  9. And then not tell anybody anything about it when it is arranged.
  10. sounds to me like he is following the example of David Murray at Rangers cutting his potential liabilities before they get any worse. we dont and never will have the fan base to sustain fan ownership through the WS, i am concerned for the future now.
  11. The paranoia and conspiracy theories re Skippy are reaching levels the blue and green ugly sisters would be proud of. He elbowed the other guy end of he got away with it during the game but if he now gets pulled up he can have no complaints, leave all this whataboutery pish to the old firm.

A draw would have been the ideal result as it would have kept accies closer to Killie and right in the shit but at least now ICT cant go above us if they win the game in hand. We now have a 5 point gap over both of them so not too bad, Killie and Dundee not getting anything was also a bonus as we stay top 6.
  13. Quality from skippy Chris Sutton is a bawbag.
  14. BT sport present games really well but some of the pundits they use are complete arseholes who talk shite the whole game, Chris Sutton and Michael Owen being prime examples.
  15. An eye for goal...aye right 1 goal from 2 or 3 yards out in 1st game of the season and has never been seen since, he was a great investment, i would punt him he has brought nothing to the team.
  16. Untd had a great result today so they will probably get a boost from that but they are 8 points adrift at the bottom for a reason...ie they are utter pish. So i think if we keep up our momentum from the Thistle and Accies games we will have too much for them, going for a win for the good guys by a couple of goals.
  17. just looked at the BBC live updates apparently we missed a pen late on, Moults effort saved, glad we had no late dramas then
  18. +1 for me as well at this stage of the season and the position we are in the results are the important thing, that was a great 3 points.
  19. At least the ref is taking action this time after the nonsense they got away with at Fir park. 1 up at half time hope we come out 2nd half and get right into them and get the job done, the sooner that mob are out of the premiership the better
  20. For me it has to be Fitzpatricks goal against Hearts at Easter Rd to get us into the league cup final what a celebration that was. number 2 would be skippy sunday did not mean much to us but for pure gitruy factor it was priceless
  21. Was going to vote for Skippy thought he was excellent but decided on Laing, I thought he had a great game at right back, looked comfortable all game never in any danger
  22. Yes people often sit in a different seat to their allocated one I do but I am still sitting down so no problems, your quote re the sweeties ridiculous, and your issue is not an extension of those, your issue is taking exception at being told not to do something on several occasions and continuing to do it and then trying to justify your actions as correct and that you are somehow being unfairly treated by the stewards. If it had been a police officer that told you to get behind the line / sit down etc would you have taken the same stance, probably not. Personally I don't want to stand at matches anymore but I have no problem with it if the club was allowed to open a dedicated standing area, then those who wanted to could go there, but until the current legislation and the SFA rules etc change we have to live with all seated stadiums so no standing is allowed. Your reference to The game at McDiarmid park on Sat just means that the StJ FC stewards are obviously not doing there jobs. Did you never stop to think that after the recent publicity the Motherwell has had re stewarding, fan behaviour etc that the club may be enforcing the rules a bit more rigorously to demonstrate that there are no issues at the club, remember we have the 18 month suspended sentence hanging over us. There are many ways to voice your opinions re Standing at matches, write to the club, the SFA, your MP or anybody who will listen, start an online petition etc, etc but winding up the stewards by failing to comply with their directions on more than 1 occasion is not a good approach, all that will get you is huckled out of the ground.
  23. That's why we have all seated stadiums so you can sit down and don't need to stand up, then there would be no issues with yellow lines etc and you would not have missed Kilmarnocks winning goal.
  24. No fan club, just me failing to see the point of the thread, why not let him do the job he is paid for and if and when he does something that warrants praise or makes a complete James Hunt of something then we can discuss the merits of it on here, at least then we would have a definite issue to comment on.
  25. You are desperately trying to make a story from nothing, but carry on if it keeps you occupied, the rest of us will worry about the real issues i.e. how McGhee can get the team to concentrate right up to the final whistle in matches and trying to avoid the playoffs
