Great win today...it should have been at least 3 by half time, Hibs are utter pish. 2nd half we sat too deep and let them come on to us, but in all honesty they never looked like scoring, Nielsen only had 1 save to make. Hutchinson was poor, but his pro foul saved a goal and got us the win. Considering we ended the game with only 1 of the back 4 that started, it was a good 3 points. Joint 2nd and only 5 off the top, we are doing ok

Where do we go from here ? well now that the treble is off our main focus needs to be the league and Scottish cup double, with a good preparation for next years champions league.

I dont think they are any better than us, but their manager got their tactics spot on last night, after the sending off he ditched Zola and brought on Considine to shore up the defence. It was plain to see that we offered no threat up front, Aberdeen were happy to sit deep and defend, which given our main tactic of punting aimless high balls at them was not difficult to do. They had more pace than us going forward which they used to good effect and got the right result from it. As for SMC he looked as though he had no plan B, after 20 mins it was obvious that Lawson was contributing nothing and ZFA spent more time passing the ball back to Hammell than going forward. At half time he should have brought Faddy on as well and put him up top with Sutton and Anier to really go at them, but what did we get instead, more aimless runs with no end product from ZFA ( well 1 decent cross that really should have been converted) and then we get the final tactical master stroke, he brings on McHugh Against 10 men for 80 mins we really should have won but tactically we fucked up big time and let them off, as the game wore on they went for it on the counter and got their reward.

That was a right boot in the baws tonight..but we got what we deserved..feck all..no pace or threat up front,midfield all over the place, we could have played till next week and not scored. As for SMC bringing on McHugh before Faddy what the feck was he thinking ffs. It was all so predictable tonight 80 mins against 10 men and we bottled it big time. A good save by Nielsen, maybe not " a wonder save" but he did his job and kept it out, its a pity the rest of the defence failed to do their's and stood around watching Stevie May running in to score.

Pish...Ross county , never mind ifs and should have, they got beat...against Morton, Celtic created enough good chances to win 10 games but bad finishing cost them, Morton created nothing, got the pen and rode their luck to the end. Against Inverness by all accounts a draw was a fair result, again missed chances by Celtic. The bottom line is Celtic are a better team than us, What would you rather have at Parkhead, Motherwell going for it big time and leaving space at the back, and getting pumped or playing it tight, keeping the team shape and waiting for a chance, or a set piece opportunity to maybe earn a point or maybe 3. Why is setting up a team to get a point at least against the best team in the country on their own patch considered to be "Gutless" ? If the game had finished a draw on Saturday would we be criticising SMC for earning a point, i think not. As is the case every season anything earned against the ugly sisters is a bonus the important results are how we perfom against the other 10 teams in the league. yes it is great to beat them and in Celtics case our recent record is not too bad over the years, (the less said about Sevco the better) but if we dont i am not worried, if you are going to lose a league game, then doing it in the same week when all your close rivals do the same is a bonus. So bring on the Hearts and lets get back to winning ways.
