That's claret and yellow, sorry luminous yellow

I'm not disagreeing with you, sometimes it takes some unorthodox moves to make an investment work long term. But the low offer and the effective removal of the WS in the plan on offer makes it a Mon starter for me.
-
It was yesr on year investment in the context of the investment plan currently being discussed ie 3 to 6 years etc.
-
So do i, I'm not a member but only a few months ago the WS were struggling to sort out current contact details for it's membership, so producing a feasible and appropriate investment plan to take the club forward even by engaging outside professionals and agencies may be beyond their capability. Time will tell.
-
Dave do you really think that the current WS board are capable of creating and implementing an alternative and credible plan to provide additional year on year investment, raffles and bucket collections etc won't cut it.
-
Get the Sash from this year's away kit on it and the blue uglies will buy it 😁, all joking aside surely someone is taking the piss here
-
Aye time will tell but Mike Ashley was one of the lads, a great guy by all accounts sitting with the fans etc, till he was found out as a ruthless bar steward. These guys Barmack included are a different league in ruthlessness and business dealing compared to the likes of McMahon, Dickie etc, that's why they are multi millionaires.
-
Who knows if he's a good or bad guy, he's a multi millionaire and you don't become one of those without being ruthless in business. So if he gets control he'll make sure he gets his investment back with interest and won't lose any sleep if that's at the expense of the club and it's fans.
-
Finally some real new players to discuss, I hope he's the first of a few more. No doubt the " he's shite. Wrong age, not premiership standard etc, etc "posts will be incoming soon.
-
As someone who has never seen the WS as being fit for purpose since it was proposed, I have to say they seem to be getting shafted on this proposal. It's blatantly obvious that Mcmahon and his cronies want out and I get the impression they don't give a feck what happens after that. Barmack wants full control of the club without the WS to annoy him that's his return on the investment and if that happens, in a few years he'll get bored and move his cash elsewhere then we are really screwed. I have my doubts as to whether the WS can really stop this going through or if the enthusiastic amateurs on the WS board have the nous, knowhow and willingness to come up with an alternative. Additional investment is required but not this proposal, so I would hope it goes no further.
-
Who came up with this idea that the WS actually run the club, from a non members view it seems they just give the club cash when asked, without question and basically do as they are told, this alleged deal seems like business as usual for them

Sentimental pish, Clarke was supposed to be preparing a squad for a major tournament, not giving game time to a player who is done and did not deserve it just because " he is a good guy and was a great player". If he was to inspire the other 3 then bring him in as a a goal keeping coach, adviser or whatever but not as a potential starter.
-
Any half decent coach would never have selected a 41 Yr old keeper irrespective of how he was at his prime who's only played 7 games in over 2 years for a major tournament in the 1st place, Clarke is feckin hopeless.
-
The only thing on X I follow or contribute to is Motherwell FC, plus the posts are not annoying, well not as annoying as your occasional patronising posts, but they are irrelevant to the majority of fans. All we ask for is if the media team are putting content out there, make it relevant.
-
100% agree, when a player leaves Motherwell I don't care where they are now or how well or badly their career has went. The random media posts look like someone creating content just for the sake of it, nobody gives a shit what happened years ago. We want up to date info on how the club is doing on field and off, the alleged new investment, new player signings etc etc.
-
Decent wedges for us maybe but when compared with transfers from the English leagues etc the amounts we get are small change., we either dont get full value or let contracts run down and get nothing. We've always been a selling club so to show real intent especially for a player with a year left on his contract let it be known the bidding starts at 7 figures and take it from there. If a club like St Pauli are genuinely interested then 2 or 3 million is loose change to them, so aim high. Plus if nobody wants him extend his deal and after another good season we'll be in a better position next year.
-
Given our record of cashing in on our saleable assets, I won't hold my breath, if he goes it will no doubt be an undisclosed fee, with at least 1 zero off the end.
-
For me of the 5 players you mention only Mugabi would be shown the door, as he's a bombscare. The other 4 had their moments at times when they were poor but generally they were OK, especially McGinn and I thought Blaney after an extended run in the team was improving week on week. If we sign a right back ie the Australian boy then SOD will be a very experienced back up. For me the biggest issue we had was a goal keeper more scared of crosses than Dracula, Kelly inspired no confidence in the defenders in front of him, I lost count of the number of goals we lost due to failing to deal with balls into the box. So we're going to have a new keeper, at the moment it's Oxborough but whether he's no 1 or 2 is anyone's guess, but one who commands his area and ventures off his line will be a vast improvement Let's see who we bring in to improve the defending and midfield before we get stressed about who we've re-signed.

Being an arsehole is a fundamental requirement for the majority of X / twitter users, so no surprise there.
-
Depends on how proactive the recruitment team have been In identifying targets and setting up the deals. I hope there are a few incoming it's always good to get the business done early.
-
Improving Bair, would that be Obika passing on his vast knowledge of scoring loads of goals and top class striking techniques over the years, your right I'm not accepting that as a possibility.
-
It's on Premier sports.
-
Or D - a combination of all three.
-
Ooooh the standard response from someone with noting constructive to offer the debate, ok then.
-
Only my opinion, maybe harsh but very fair. 12 clubs over 16 years and only 86 goals in total, just over 5 goals a year average ie he's not very good.
