    The Pitch

What's up with the pitch to make it ridiculous? It looked OK to me on Saturday
  2. Do you honestly think he will score lots of goals, he's looking overweight, hasn't played since November, so it's going to take at least a month to get him match fit he's not the goal machine from last season, but he's Killies problem now.
  3. When they finish in 6th and out of the Euro places and KVV is away back to Groningen they'll realise it was money wasted
  4. You know exactly what it means, but you chose to respond with some patronising shite, "The laziest clichés in the worst newspapers" aye OK then 🤦‍♂️
  5. I'm on record as saying Bair is brutal, and never premiership standard, but the way he's playing I might have to reconsider that view, he's getting better week by week, his positional sense is still a bit ropy, and not enough sticks to him, but as SK's project he is turning out well so far. 2 points lost for me today, we deserved to win.
  6. Unfortunately in modern football exorbitant wage demands are the norm and at a level we cant compete in so the clubs unwillingness to pay them is irrelevant. As for the current custodians of our club I've no doubt they are all successful business people in their own fields but not at running a football club, these are the people who signed off on players like Obika, Souare, Shaw, Wilkinson etc⁸ costing the club decent money no doubt on wages etc for nothing in return. we're now on our 3rd manager since Robinson left, we can't seem to appoint a CEO to replace Burrows, our recruitment strategy is a shambles and year on year its getting worse, its a constant downward spiral. I hope the recent moves to attract additional investment are successful as that may be the catalyst needed to get the club back on track to building a stable team, instead of the summer and winter clearouts we seem to now be getting.
  7. Let's get some context on this ffs, I have no doubt that there were lots of strikers available none of which were experienced, prolific regular starters as they are not available in a January window and especially not for the money we can offer. I'm sure SK tried but the harsh reality is we're not an attractive proposition for some players especially financially. So the players we brought in are what we can afford people need to realise as a club we are feckin skint. The usual suspects are slagging off Vale without seeing him play, they probably did the same for Higdon, and KVV so let's wait and see how it turns out. Our defence is just about the worst in the league so we sign defenders and people are still not happy ffs. As I've said before and no apologies for repeating myself the whole club set up / governance needs reformed the well meaning amateurs we currently have need to go as the club needs to get back on track and stabilise.
  8. As I've said in another thread the whole current structure and governance at the club is not fit for purpose, no full time CEO, potential financial issues, recruitment is a shambles etc etc. Root and branch changes are required to get the club on a sustainable operating model going forward, if not the future is looking bleak.
  9. For me we dodged a bullet with KVV, he's been shit at Groningen since he left in the summer, got his deal on past glories which he is very unlikely to repeat, but fair play to him for cashing in. This window has highlighted just how skint we are, we get the players we can afford, ie those on realistic wages or favorable loan deals, plus is coming to play in the Shire an attractive option for some. My main concern is that in 5 months time we will go through this whole nonsense again with another rebuild , we need stability and time to build a team, but only time will tell if we learn from previous mistakes and for me I don't think the current structure/ governance etc at the club is up to the challenge.
  10. From the BBC gossip page today, so it looks like they are up for selling him, there's obviously been a fallout there between KVV and the club. So if there's a transfer fee involved, that's us fecked. Groningen are willing to listen to offers for 32-year-old former Motherwell striker Kevin van Veen. (RTV Noord)
  11. They must be the most delusional club in the country outwith the ugly sisters, they all still think its the mid 80's up there and they are a good side. They deserve all they get.
  12. Over 100 appearances and 29 goals at Killie , 7 goals at St Mirren and 4 so far at RC, he's worked out a damm site better than some of the alleged strikers we've recently had and still have. But you stick to whatever agenda suits you, don't let facts get in the way.
  13. To be fair If we had a choice of players for starting strikers probably yes but as we are reliant on Bair a player of Brophy's experience would be welcomed, he's a step up in quality from the likes of Wilkinson, Obika and Shaw.
  14. There are a few on here who conveniently forget that fact and think we should be going for players way above our price range.
  15. Bottom half championship team I thought he might do a bit better than that, but who knows might be a very lucrative offer and guaranteed game time, there needs to be some incentive to move to Wales.
  16. You get all the best bargins last minute 🤣
  17. Slovenian u21 at one point Where are you hearing that rumour?
  18. Very unfortunate for Montgomery but having played for 2 clubs is irrelevant, he was never getting into the Celtic team anyway and with his injury he's not going to be fit till May at the earliest so his season is done. He's a Celtic player so get him back to them to look after and off our wage bill we've enough injured players of our own to deal with.
  19. He's out for 3 months Apparently according to this report https://www.thenational.scot/sport/24076895.adam-montgomery-suffers-brutal-injury-blow-motherwell-loan/
  20. Live on council telly, the weather will be shite as usual, and the tickets will no doubt not be reduced, add in travel hassle/ cost , aye live games on council telly really encourage people to go to games. The away support will be OK but nowhere near as good if the game was not on the BBC.
  21. Why don't you call a Trolls meeting with Yodo, and MJC a put together a list of any players you all find acceptable and ok to sign, that would save you labelling every player linked with Motherwell as pish.
  22. As is every game we play, the potential to lose is always there. If we start with the right attitude, press them high from the start and move the ball a lot quicker than we did against Alloa we will get the required result. Hopefully we have another couple of players in place by then to give us more of a goal threat.
  23. Morton away, pity we never got a home tie but it's a decent draw, they are well off the pace in the championship
