  1. All the fans need to know is a player is injured, and not available for selection, with additional updates when they are back training and/ or fit to play. How would you feel about your GP giving constant updates on any injury or illness you had, the same applies to football clubs. So no need for any additional communications.
  2. I Suspect every club in the country has the same issue Dave but nobody evers hears about it. Football is a contact sport so players will pick up injuries whether during a game or training or even playing with their kids on their days off, and the teams with the smaller squads will be impacted the most,. So for me there is nothing to see here, no conspiracy, dodgy training methods etc its the result of engaging in a contact sport.
  3. If that's the case they should not be professional footballers, asking a well trained and fit player to play 90 mins of football once or twice a week is not asking a lot.
  4. It did take a slight deflection but not much, with the arm away from the body though it was always going to be given, especially as the ball was on target.
  5. The Celtic penalty was a stonewaller to be fair, arm away from the body, ball heading for goal deflected away, an easy one for VAR
  6. I was switching between the Burnley v Liverpool game and the Killie game the difference in the pitches was shocking, how the SFA / SPFL allow it to be used for top level games is a disgrace.
  7. We've also lost 7 goals in 5 games, which is not good, all the great play we’ve had and yet we are dropping valuable points every week.
  8. Nice play and do How many chances will Stamatelopoulos get with JBA, he is feckin brutal, no positional sense, always on the back foot, and generally looks out of his depth in most games. If we still had the likes of Moult, KVV or Bair up top, we would be top 2 at least
  9. 78% possession for us so far according to livescore, but nothing to show for it as yet
  10. How JBA wants Ward to play is not the issue here. The problem is Ward's continuing inability to meet one of the fundamental requirements of being a goal keeper, ie catching the ball, how many points does he cost us before he gets benched.
  11. I see the club have announced that Bobby Graham has passed away aged 81, another club legend gone.
  12. Stamatelopoulos is not scoring more goals, his positional play is still suspect, so in what way has he improved?
  13. I'm not sure that's correct as I understand it a loan player can be recalled anytime the parent club deems it necessary, plus Wilson is already our player so we are not adding a player so no need to wait for a transfer window. It really depends on the fine print in the loan agreement and what both clubs have agreed on.
  14. We have previous for starting with 4 draws, the most by any team in Scottish league history @terrace_podcast 3 teams - Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Rangers - have 4 draws from 4 games to begin this league season. That has only happened another 4 times in the 135-year history of the Scottish top-flight: Third Lanark (1962/63) Motherwell (1975/76) Aberdeen (1988/89) Motherwell (1995/96)
  15. They have lost a lot of their better players from last season and Steven Pressley is their manager, he played a 5-4-1 formation on Sunday against Dundee unt and still shipped 2 goals, we will beat them.
  16. That's because the POD has been my viewpoint of choice for the last 40 years, but if the other 3 stands are just as bad then the club has a seriously issue with whoever does its cleaning.
  17. An excellent post, hopefully in the room for improvement category we can get the pigeon crap cleaned from the stairs and seats in the POD.
  18. You can obviously recognise a players abilities within minutes and judge them accordingly a great skill to have, lots of club managers would love to have the same. I'm more of a wait a few games, see how the player settles into the team, and what if anything they contribute before judging them.
  19. I watched it from the POD and never got any impression of a nudge, neither did the referee, lino's or the VAR team who no doubt had close up views, freeze frame etc. The Kille fans in the south stand had the best view, so maybe you were sitting with them. Nobody is making anything up, the only Motherwell player who seemed bothered was ward when he realised he'd made an arse of it so no fantasy.
  20. Hendry has played less than 30 mins since he arrived at the club, and you are not impressed, aye OK then 🤦‍♂️
  21. Longelo for me, he was excellent and another great goal as a bonus. Special mention for O'Donnell I thought he had a great game as well.
  22. The Sportscene highlights were pretty clear no contact whatsoever, for me he jumped to early and ended up slightly ahead of the ball, but that said it was a simple catch and he made an arse of it.
  23. I doubt very much JBA is telling Ward to make a James Hunt of it by failing to catch a ball under no pressure at all. The way Ward is playing is very badly, and cost us 4 points in a week, he needs dropped.
  24. Shocking goal keeping cost us 2 points last week, and the same again today, all our great play counts for nothing if we cant rely on a keeper to catch a feckin Ball under no pressure at all. Once we went 2-1 Killie never looked like scoring until Motherwells version of Andre Onana played his part, he needs dropped ASAP. We played some great stuff today, especially Longelo and just and never got the reward it deserved, 4 points behind where we should be after 4 games, sort the keeper and defence out and hopefully we can start winning.
  25. That's not the case though is it, if the coefficient goes up it means that the ugly sisters and the other potential Euro regulars ie Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs are all doing better in European games and as a result earning more cash making them richer. Which as a consequence widens the financial gap between them and the rest of the league allowing them to attract better players etc, so where's the positive in that from a Motherwell perspective?
