He survived a winless run of 15 games last season, absolutely no chance he's getting sacked if we lose today and extend this run to 4 winless, he's here for the season.
-
Correct, in this day and age it's utter nonsense that a Premiership club like St Mirren can not provide online sales and the option of digital ticketing.

Motherwell v Rangers League Cup Semi final Nov 2/3
Spiderpig replied to TheoBair14's topic in Club Chat
Potential backlash, someone is going to get seriously injured with the use of these pyros, there's no grey area here, it's against the rules of the football authorities and against the law of the land, so the club has no complaints. How many fines or sanctions does the club need to get before action is taken against those responsible. -
Motherwell v Rangers League Cup Semi final Nov 2/3

You know that won't happen Dave, there is no chance that either of the ugly sisters will ever be served notices of complaints from the SPFL, SFA or any other footballing authority in Scotland for the bigoted bile they spout at every game. It would not surprise me at all if Motherwell were the only club fined as none lkes to upset the uglies. -
That's because that incident changed the whole course of the match. If VAR had done their Job, we would have had a pen and probably been 2-1 up. Even if we never got the pen the referee never done his job by stopping play for a suspected head knock so their 2nd goal would not have happened. The officials failing to do their jobs cost us a chance to go 2-1 up and possibly go on to win the game.
-
It's when Balmer went down, the Dundee player was all over him, an arm round Balmers neck at one point, stonewall pen, but once again VAR did not want to know, what's the point of it if they miss stuff like that. Play never stopped either, so in 30 seconds we went from a chance to go 2-1 up to being 2-1 down, utter nonsense.
-
Nobody likes to see a player injured so hope he recovers well, but in all honesty he is brutal, so not being available can only improve the team.
-
To be fair you would probably predict a defeat irrespective of who we were drawn against home or away so no surprise there.
-
What would be an inspiring draw then ?
-
Apart from not being at home against a lower or non league side why is it a poor draw? If you are going to get another premiership side, then avoiding the good teams is a big bonus, let's be honest St Johnstone are not the best. Getting either of the ugly sisters, Aberdeen, Dundee untd, would have been a poor draw, this is a very winnable tie.
-
I agree to some extent that he seems bereft of a plan B at times but he has to work with the players he has available and given our horrendous injury list i dont think hes had a full squad to pick from all season, so i would cut him some slack for that. It's not a crisis yet but we have a tough run of games over Christmas so by January it could be, and solution needs to be found soon.
-
We are struggling just now Dave the injury list is horrendous, missing key players especially SOD and McGinn, there's no width or threat in the team so until SK gets players back fit, I think we are going to see more of the same unfortunately, I don't know if he can come up with another plan given the current resources he has available.
-
Where to start with that feckin shambles today, 2 shots on target, a keeper who has been solid all season so far gifting them a goal, no midfield, no goal threat, no plan apart from kicking it long. The squad is down to the bare bones, our injury list is shocking, Robinson, Zdravkovski, and Halliday are worse than a man short, all 3 of them are brutal. SK's game plan was abysmal against a team who have conceded 7 goals in their last 2 games, we never threatened them. With the run of games we have coming up before the transfer window opens i fully expect us to be right back in the relegation fight, something needs to change as what's being offered now is not working.
-
Have you watched him? He runs about like a headless chicken, never seems to be where he should be, and as for having a good finish, previous to a good season with Dundee where he got 12 goals ( presumably why we signed him)his next best return was 6. 110 appearances for 8 different clubs over 5 years, and 30 career goals in total, averaging 6 a year is stretching the definition of " Striker " a bit too far
-
Why would you have Robinson starting, he's feckin brutal, Stama, Ebiye and Fat Tony are all much better options.
-
Are you Grizzlyg's padawan getting some much needed practice in? 🤦♂️
-
Aberdeen bottled it big time, 2-1 up on 92 mins and 3-2 at 95 mins not winning games from that position is shocking.
-
I don't think we could afford him now, and if we could would he come back? would be a great addition though
-
Correct
-
OK counting the OG, it's 9 career goals over 20 years ffs, 6 of which were for us, and he thinks he's a Celtic legend, I've amended my original judgement of him, he's a deluded tosser.
-
He's an obnoxious tosser, who thought his career only started when he signed for Celtic, with no regard to what went before, or respect for the club where he got his start as a pro. He only scored 2 goals in 304 appearances for Celtic, 6 for Motherwell in 252 so the best stats of his career were at Fir Park but as far as he's concerned he's a Celtic legend, as I said a tosser.
-
They will also be looking for a new manager by next Saturday, what worries me is that we are always generous to struggling teams in need of a win, so I hope this time we don't do them any favours.
-
Out with a minor injury according to the club X feed. https://x.com/MotherwellFC/status/1860318635085938780?t=3u42_1aWqW3zuQy3X-d91w&s=19

Never mind we are 2-0 down, how are our possession stats doing, are we winning that contest?

Police are now advising people not to travel over the weekend, I think the game will be off https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvged5y8qn2o
