I rate him as 1 options 2-5 are all irrelevant at this time, well for most on the forum anyway. We can repeat this topic next summer when we can judge him for a full season with his choice of players etc.
-
Which one Dijkstra , Thompson or both of them?
-
If its another loan deal Rangers will still be paying the majority of his wages, so it does not matter what we pay him, he still gets the full amount as per his contract, allegedly in the region of 4k a week if the stories are true.
-
They finished 11th and were relegated so by definition their squad was the 2nd worst in the league, simples
-
They are feckin brutal It's worth watching just to see that fud kris boyd's face he is not a happy bunny.
-
I would say budget for finishing 10th, and anything above that is a bonus, we have learned the hard way with the John Boyle years the dangers of reckless spending. A top 6 finish and a European place and / or a decent cup run are the targets for 10 of the 12 premiership clubs every year, and to be honest given the standard outwith the ugly sisters you don't need to spend big to achieve those targets. We are a well run, and seemingly financially stable club at the moment so I hope it stays that way.

Not much luck don't talk shite, league cup both the uglies out, none of which they had to beat themselves, Scottish cup they beat Rangers with an injury time goal from their goalkeeper ffs who was allowed a free header, in a game Rangers should have been out of site in. Yes they got lucky bigtime in both competitions winning one trophy without the uglies involved is usually the only way the other clubs s get a sniff, but being only the 4th club in Scottish football history to pick up a cup double tells you how lucky they were. But they still had to beat whoever they were playing so fair play to them for taking full advantage.
-
Plus a large slice of luck we never seem to get in not having to face either of the ugly sisters in both finals, that very rarely if ever happens in Scottish football, but fair play to them for taking full advantage. Outwith the uglies there is not much between the other 10 clubs in the premiership so any luck you get in the cup competitions is a big bonus.

You can't argue with his stats since he signed for Killie and I said at the time he was the type of player we needed, but from what I have seen of him since then I think his attitude in some games is questionable, at Dens Park on Thursday night he was anonymous for 90 mins and hardly touched the ball. We need players who will give 100% commitment every game so I think Lafferty may be a luxury we can't afford not just in financial term but in building a settled committed team for next season.
-
Correct, lucky teams win cups, the 93/94 team was the closest we have been to winning the league since 1932, finishing 3rd , I think 4 points behind Rangers in a 44 game season and we were still in it up to the last 3 or 4 games.
-
I see Lawless is below Seedorf a fair assumption of his suitability for the premiership if you ask me
-
Are you sure about Boyd, not sure he played for us, he's spent the last 30 years erasing Motherwell from his memory
-
Most of us are bored with the game if you have info to share on a public forum then share it, if its not for public consumption then don't post anything about it, and we can all get back to making up rumours, it's more fun.

Saw that last night, already voted,

OK who feels old now, 30 years ago today we were all looking forward to what would be the best day ever as a Motherwell fan, to watch us lift the Scottish cup. What a weekend that turned out to be, although the details got a bit blurred after about 9pm on the Saturday night , then all of a sudden it was Monday and I had to go back to work. Hopefully we can win another trophy soon, 30 years between them is far too long.

Probably Donald Trump fans Dave, he ran his presidency for 4 years on that basis, either that or the Russians trying to destabilise the forum.
-
Yes, my objection is exactly because of who is involved, as explained by G&F's Post I agree with all he said, they are a cancer on Scottish football with their bigoted we can do what we like attitude and get away with it as the weekend events in Glasgow demonstrated with the blue uglies. So why should leagues be disrupted, just to develop players for Rangers and Celtic, with no benefit to any other club or Scottish football in general.
-
So they will be taking up 2 places in the LL that means that 2 clubs further down the pyramid will be denied or can't afford the 25k its feckin nonsense. Once again Scottish football is pandering to the uglies.and their cash If they want there reserve teams to get some competition enter them into one of the feeder leagues lower down the pyramid and see how they do to earn promotion on merit like every other club has to do.
-
Only for the ugly sisters, who are both paying 25k each to the lowland league to buy a place for 1 season only, hoping they will get promoted and into league 2 by the back door.
-
Foley for me thought he was solid all game,

Would you rather have had brilliant one touch football not getting the results and ending up relegated. We were favourites to go down in January, GA came in steadied the ship and got us safe with games to spare , a relegation fight us no place for silky football its about getting the points any way you can, 2 defeats in the last 12 games is testimony to how well we done in that respect. We had 3 rounds in the Europa league, missed a top 6 place by a couple of points, a couple of poor penalties away from a cup semi final, so I don't think the season has been as bad as people make out Time for a summer rebuild and another season in the premiership, onwards and upwards.
-
That would do for me.
-
Rumour 1 BBC gossip page reporting that GA is refusing to rule out a move to bring Moult back to Fir Park https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57126387 Might be happening during the summer

As much h as I would like to get rid of the plastic pitch if Killie end up in the playoff spot, they won't go down, they will beat Dundee (or Raith if they win the 2nd leg 4-0). I think Hamilton have been the only championship team to be promoted since the playoffs started so it all favours the premiership teams. The same will apply to RC if they end up 11th I can't see either of them going down tbh.
-
Finishing 7th and above St Mirren would be great so hopefully we go for the win. No doubt weeyin will be posting soon telling us to beware of Jordan Whyte coming back to haunt us with an injury time equaliser to get RC the point they need to avoid the playoff spot.
